Yep, that's why I NEVER let my hairdresser curl or wave my hair, I always insist on the flat iron being used, (I have long, thick, layered, straight hair). I want to see the layers, texture, and above all else, if it's been evenly cut throughout with ends that are blunt enough to look clean and freshly cut, not pointy and dry af, (that's what I paid to get rid of, i'm NOT walkin' back out that way lol!!!) It's just too easy to cover lazy, sloppy work with a curling iron.

If you would’ve angled the scissors downward the layers would be much more smooth tbh
