I don't have any physical disabilities, but the fact that you have them available in 13US just makes my day! I can never find high quality feminine shoes in my size. Yay!
  • @MorganaAurelia
Havent finished the vid yet but I went to the site while viewing- half the shoes are called "Jessie" and the other half are called "Claud"?? That is SO cute???? ❤
  • @HeyRowanEllis
the fact we bonded the first time we met over comfy shoes this is so exciting congratulations!! 😭💙

I, too, have EDS, and I once dislocated my ankle stepping off the sidewalk. It really made me feel better about myself when I had the epiphany that I am NOT my body, I am just IN my body. ❤️
  • Completely regardless of all the innovative inclusive features, these shoes are objectively gorgeous. Functional fashion can often be lacking in the visual appeal but you’ve outdone yourself with these masterpieces

As an occupational therapist we advice People with foot drop to go to a shoemaker and ask them to make a hardplastic sole on the front of this foot. It´s life changing.
  • SO HAPPY for a dressy flat with a strap!!! I like that because it helps keep them on my feet, all other flats the back of my heel immediately pops out

OK I went thru so many emotions watching this video. I've been eyeing American Duchess shoes for yrs but as a fellow drop foot girlie with wide feet I knew they wouldn't work for me. I'm not sure these will either but I might have to give the Claude a try bc its just gorgeous. Also round of applause for the accessibility of the quick release buckles. It's such a small things but it really matters to those of us who need it.

Omg. Thank you for making the strap quick release and easily done up in the middle of the foot! I find it so difficult doing up some straps because my legs cannot bend the way typical shoe makers think. These shoes are gorgeous and look so practical! Would love to see The Jessie in that pale blue one day!
  • @Waterflame
If I wore heels, or "pretty shoes" of any type, I would absolutely wear the Jessie. They're stunning!! (That wine colour is perfection!)

Jessica…. 😭😭😭 I have US size 13 feet and I’ve never been able to buy American Duchess’ 20th century shoes because they never come in large sizes (some of the older styles that are gender neutral come in larger sizes, but that’s not my style)…. BUT YOUR GORGEOUS SHOES COME IN MY SIZE!!!!! 😭😭😭😭 I have DREAMED about getting shoes from American Duchess for YEARS now. This might finally be my chance 🥹🥹 Thank you thank you thank you for helping to design a shoe that’s accessible not just for differently-abled people, but also differently-shaped/sized folks too!!! 🥹❤️❤️❤️

The spiderweb ribbon design in the first set of prototype shoes really looked quite lovely!

As a queer person working with a shoe company I would ask that you please advocate for trans women who do not have any options for buying sensible feminine shoes in large sizes. I have also met cis women with the same size as me (eu47) so as always, accommodation for trans people will also help cis people more. The shoes available to the trans femme community are largely, poorly made platform stiletto boots targeted at drag queens. The whole community would love if this shoe company were able to make a few options in large enough sizes. The trans femme community and our cisters with large feet are left to wear gender neutral boots and sneakers. I know how much being a "heels lesbian" matters to you, please use your platform to help enable us to join you.

I'm so very pleased to see a disabled creator get this collab! Finally! So excited to watch this video and find out what you ended up making and how they might be accessible to people like us. :)

I know Jessica is hypermobile, but her position at the :32 mark surprised me! Congratulations on the shoe line!
  • @NomadicElfling
I pre ordered a pair of the Clauds as soon as I saw your post on instagram — I adore American Duchess and I’m so excited for when they arrive
  • @ashassassin
American dutchess has all my favorite people advertising them. I cant escape, its only a matter of time before i give in and buy all the shoes!
  • @rebeccam6164
Ugh how dare you??? I got married earlier this year and these would have PERFECT. As someone with slightly wide feet whose ankles just flip occasionally while walking, and who loves feminine details and natural materials, these look amazing
  • @makeminemonsters
I love that Claudia did the marketing photos! I just grabbed the Jessies in pink!
  • @ambrosia18
The quick release buckle is such a game changer, my goodness. Love these.
