Not one union fireman or police officer took the time to warn the public. Heavy wind storm expected, hydrants turned off fire department should have been prepared with hoses or portable pumps should an area be unprotected, it's their job priority #1 public safety. FAILED CRIMINALLY and not one fireman or police officer has been indicted

I was station, in Hawaii from 90-93. It was a great tour, of duty. Pissed me off, that people were more concerned with buying up properties, instead of helping people get back their lives!!! Everyone sees, that something is up with that whole situation!!!

Ya know folks... This "event" could have happened ANYWHERE in the world, but it didn't. It happened to Lahaina. Regardless of where and to whom... The agencies and people with the means to have fixed this, didn't. The level of betrayal by those who could make things right, is damning.

Are federal government can give billions of our tax dollars away to countries that don't like us never to be repaid. But can't help our own citizens right here in our country sad.

The residents, land owners can clean the land but not allowed to use the toxic waste site ..so they have no place to take it to. Also only ONE building permit has been granted ... Almost a year now
