After losing both parents, Samantha Rodriguez had to step up and become the head of the family. Now the 21-year-old balances college and raising her five younger siblings. “I've always had a motherly instinct with them,” she told InsideEdition.com, but “I just had to play both roles and step up even bigger.” Despite the hardship, the siblings all work together. “We're all just so connected between love and strength and we all have each other's back,” said her brother, Michael. #InsideEdition

  • I love how she said “the kids” not my siblings or brothers and sisters. So sweet!

I hope your boyfriend realizes what an amazing woman he's got.
  • College, a job, raising five kids, AND managing a relationship with a great guy? How? What? I can't even find a job!
  • Lost my parents 2010...took care of my siblings..2020 10 years later finally got a chance to go to university...I'm the eldest in class .. but I'm grateful to God for trusting me with this journey

I’m 17 and I care for my 2 nieces full time I couldn’t imagine caring for 5! She’s so strong!!

She needs an all expenses paid ride throughout college. She deserves it. I know she’s their sister, but she had to grow up fast and she seems to do an amazing job keeping herself and everyone together. She’s going to have to do everything that their parents would have had to do when her siblings get older, too. They’re a beautiful family and I wish them nothing but the best. ♥️

Her parents may no longer be here but they definitely raised their kids right while they were here...she has done amazing stepping in and props to her boyfriend too🥺

Her boyfriend is a real one, spending time with her brother when she can't bond the same as a male would with him, keep that man girl and keep doing what your doing, you're amazing.
  • Man seeing this makes me realize that I must simply be lazy, she makes me want to do better..amazing young woman.
  • This girl is CRAZY strong. Everyone should donate to a go fund me to buy them a new, larger home and pay for their educations. It can’t bring back their parents but we could at least give them some financial stability. Money is the last thing they need to be worrying about.
  • @1eeee.
She can take care of 5 siblings, while in college?!? I can’t even make lunchable right...

This woman needs a medal and NEEDS to be on the Ellen show, she has done so much for her siblings. Best wishes!

Wow...she is not only raising five siblings, but she is a caretaker for her elderly grandmother! This should have been pointed out. That's a big job, too. She is amazing. Glad she has found a good guy and I hope it works out with him.

she's so strong. she is sacrificing everything her life for her siblings.
  • 2:37 my heart broke a little when she said she was embarrassed to be the eldest in her graduating high school class. She has no reason to be embarrassed. She and her siblings went through the loss of both parents and still, alongside raising them, she went back to high school and got her diploma. Doesn’t matter that it took her longer. She did that and she should be proud of herself
  • @nikleme1
She needs a go fund me page. They deserve and need.
