Teaching English in Miami - My Experience at Kaplan, Embassy, and EC Language Schools (Pros+Cons)

Published 2021-03-02
In this video, I talk all about my experience teaching English in Miami (ESL/ELL/EFL/ESOL). I taught at 4 different English Language Schools in Miami and I am sharing my experience teaching at those schools, the pay rate, and hours. If you are thinking about teaching in Miami, I hope you find this video useful. There are many other language schools in Miami, but these are some of the more well-known schools. Overall, I think that you can make more money teaching private classes and building a name for yourself as an English instructor, instead of working in a language school. But teaching in a school you can meet alot of people and who knows what other opportunities may come your way.

Thanks for this video! My husband and I are living in Europe and we are looking at moving to Hollywood ( seriously no lie 😁) I’m from north Florida and he is from southern CA and Hollywood looks like it would have so much culture and the right vibe we’re looking for. We are also both in education. Keep the Hollywood videos coming please🙌

This video was exactly what I needed. I'm starting at a language center in Miami next week! And I'm not from FL so this vid helped a lot

Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I am planning to teach English in Puerto Rico where I have lots of family. I was thinking of Spain but I need to do more research to see if it’s for me. Hope all is well.

Hey Lindsey, I've been working at English academies in Spain, and for me the biggest drawback has been the evening hours. I know you said about 20 hours a week, but what did your schedule look like? Morning, evening, split? Thanks!
