You're probably thinking of Antonidas EU. The gates on Antonidas US opened after TBC released, hence the Draenei in the video. ;)

AQ opened on Labor Day 2007 on Antonidas.

@Fgtlord Yep. A lot of people couldn't participate at all, all day, because if they even got close to the action, they crashed. (And that's when the server itself didn't crash, which was common.) It was basically a hot mess. And awesome. :)

damen i missed the opening one i was not in that realm and 2 i was lvling my lvl 4 gnome mage at that time and look know he has tier 8 armor and lvl 80

The gates' opening is a one-time per server event, so it's unlikely anyone will get to see it again, unfortunately. I'm pretty sure all the servers have the gates open already. :(

I'm sad you didn't record the PvP party that occurred afterward. I didn't know the person that opened it personally but I was friends with him in wow. Just was soo long ago!
