yes... that was the most awkward opening I have ever filmed.... but would YOU Live here? I just can't get past that wild entrance lol - what did you think? *WEEKS of Daily Vids dropping on youtube.com/@TokyoLensExplore starting in just TWO days from this vids drop!!*

You need to find and interview the architect who specializes in weird toilet placements. I need to hear him/her talk about the artistic value of it.
  • @usamaepekonis
That is barely a hallway, let alone an apartment. Also wasn't expecting that jumpscare from the window. Great video

That washing machine is actually a 2-in-1 washer dryer. It doesn't dry too well but it does the job. It can dry the 5.5 kg after ~6 hours and it's supposed to only dry ~2kg at a time. I have that exact same model, different color
  • @Serperi
The fact that its basically one long hallway without any weird angles like some other apartments you visited before works as a plus. Could definitely see this being somehow well used if we start thinking vertically and maybe put bunk bed/loft kind of thing. Well, and this one at least seemed relatively clean.

The fancy wooden legs table was what sold me! 🔥🔥🔥
  • I normally love seeing tiny apartments with ingenious ways of fitting everything in, but wow do i hate this. The lack of width is bad enough, but the BATHROOM AAAAAAAHHHHHH
  • @chrism7395
4:30 doing your best Jamiriquai impression! With Japan being in an earthquake zone, I'm surprised that such narrow stairs are permitted.
  • @blarfroer8066
An architect focusing on putting toilets in weird spaces has to be the most Japanese thing I ever heard.
  • @melleydee
Oodly I like the fact the main living is blocked off from the main entrance so you wouldn't hear people travelling through the stairs unless you were in there
  • @Unknown-qq1qh
Aside from the “unique” entrance, the apartment does technically meet my conditions for a livable space.

I love tiny rooms/apartment, this 1 is perfect for single person, i would place my desktop setup infront of the window, put curtain on that hanger bar, mini fridge below that counter or beside washing machine, rest is just a futon and a minimalist coffee chair, using a foldable table for eating
  • This is still bigger than a lot of studio apartments here in Manhattan. And it has everything: a washer, double gas range, large sink, smart bidet, tub/shower with views and a mini-split.
  • @with_me_JAPAN
Was I watching a comedy show or room tour?😂 The opening scene cracked me up!! Also I would definitely say “I clearly made a mistake” if I was invited there and see the bathroom right away😂Thank you for the fantastic tiny apartment review and commentary as always Nrom!😆

My guy stepped up the edits... waaaay up. Good stuff man.

You can fix this place using galvanized square steels fastened to the wall with screws borrowed from you aunt then coving the frame with eco friendly wood veneers.
  • @GoodBoyGoneDad
$450 a month for your own little tiny apartment isn't terrible for a single person or even a couple who doesn't have much stuff. In my city you can't even rent a bedroom in someone's house for that price.
  • @NovaDraconis
I am literally obsessed with this series of discovering the tiniest apartment around Tokyo. I almost feels like they build them because they need to fill out a undiscovered space by rightfully trying to build a livable space.

Most definitely would live there. I'm a minimalist and so it would be no problem. Raised bed with a headboard and storage under it for clothes.. both hanging and folded. Put Ikea storage cabinets on same side as the kitchen to hold items. Place plants on top of and beside storage cabinets. Attach a flip up table to the front of one of the cabinets to use as a desk.. dining table for two or extra space for prep work for meals with folding stools. Place a chair between the cabinet closest to bed for relaxing and reading. Use a projector to watch movies and stream yt and other channels.. the wall would make a perfect screen. Hang pictures and mirrors to make the apt seem bigger and wider. So much potential with this tiny space. I'd be in heaven decorating and living in it.
