Robot Arm Welding Ventilation System / DIY

There is a lot of smoke when we do arc welding.
This smoke is known to be very harmful to the body.
For those who enjoy DIY, you'll get a strange feeling about this welding smoke.
Please don't enjoy it. It's very harmful.
When welding indoors, I wanted to properly expel this smoke.
So I got a robot arm type product that would suit the workplace rather than the usual ventilation equipment.
In the era of Iron Man flying around, this product is my favorite ventilation equipment.
It can be rotated 360 degrees and bent and unfolded at will.
When welding in the future, I think I can work freely without worrying about smoke.
For your health, I hope you also install ventilation when welding.
Thank you.

Good job!! I would just paint the pipes on the ceiling in black and the rest in orange and 3D print the junction instead of the flex hoses. So the pipes on the ceiling disappear and the "Robot arm" would stand out more. But hey, this is just my taste. ;D
  • Not your tidiest builds but it works and that’s what counts thanks for sharing

YESS Welding!!! More welding videos please. Metal flipcart? I can imagine the brilliant electric flip cart from you
  • 🫢⚠️ You need a gravity flap vent on the outside = with “just” that piece of the flexible acrylic duct pointed down; risk of flying animals/insects nesting in it, and if the wind is blowing against that end of the building you will get a through-draught, [would be more noticeable in winter when cold outside] 🥶

I like the idea, I had an industrial centrifugal fan in my system with a 4 inch pipe, they never seem to grab the fumes and smoke from the edges, the only one I have ever seen that does is one that blows air into the collector from the rim of the collector.

Where did you get the robot arm from? How much power has this fan?
