Bruce Lee NEVER Wanted Anyone to See This REAL Fight

In Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, there's this scene in Thailand on the last day of filming for The Big Boss where Johnny Sun's brother, Luke, challenges Bruce Lee to a fight. Bruce Lee beat the brakes off Luke, and then he rips open the camera and starts tearing up the film.

Y'all know the scene I'm talking about? Well, what if I told you that really happened?

So I've had a lot of people ask me about this fight in Dragon: The Bruce Lee story -- did Bruce Lee really fight some guy in Thailand and tear up some of the film from "The Big Boss?" "Is there a missing scene from the Big Boss where Bruce Lee had a real fight?"

As for the fight with Luke Sun, yeah...that did not happen. Johnny and Luke Sun were a characters they made up for the movie...I guess so they wouldn't have any trouble from Wong Jack Man.

So if Luke Sun wasn't a real person, then how come I said there really was a fight like the one in Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story? Well see, the real fight didn't happen while Bruce was filming "The Big Boss."

It’s a known fact that Bruce Lee was always being challenged on set of his movies. But the fact that he made amends with that dude and his moms is real classy. Another notch for my admiration of Bruce Lee

Fighting a disrespectful youngster and then purposefully fixing things so the kid need not be embarrassed: THIS is the EPITOME of being a gentleman. 🤟

Bruce will always be remembered, he was genuinely a great dude. Real shame his life was cut so damn short :<

This is one of my favorite channels. Thanks for all you are doing to promote Martial Arts and inspiring us with your own progress and goals. I really appreciate all of your Bruce Lee videos. I want to keep learning more from your perspective and from reading/researching the references you recommend. I just saw the 50th Anniversary screening of Enter The Dragon, which I absolutely love, having echoed it time after time after time since childhood. Mr. Lee’s life continues to fascinate and inspire me and so many around the world to this day. As a performing artist-playwright, director, writer, I love talking about Mr. Lee as an actor. I think he was a great actor who would have given many excellent and varied performances had he lived. I look forward to your upcoming videos about Mr. Lee in the near future. I would love to hear more about the making of all of his films and television work. Wishing you and family well with your upcoming move to a new place. Peace.

Your daughter sounds adorable, and her voice simply adds to your video :) In 15 years you can return to this video and treasure this recording of your baby girl! They get big so fast. My son is 15 now and as proud as I am of the man he’s is becoming, I sometimes miss that little baby boy Good luck with your move!

When it comes to Bruce Lee's story, there's only two channels that I can trust. Yours and the KFG. The two channels that I will never missed also. Love your content brother

Jason Scott Lee was so fabulous playing Bruce Lee. I wish Hollywood had done more with him afterwards. I feel we were cheated out of an action superstar.

I read decades ago in a martial arts book that Bruce was having a sparring session with one of his closest friends/martial artists (if not the closest). The other guy got through Bruce's defense and whatever, and Bruce went over the top in retaliation to the point where others had to step in. Later, one of the training group noticed Bruce was missing, and he found him sitting alone in another room with his head bowed. On being asked if he was alright, Bruce conceded that his greatest weakness was a bad temper and he had lost it. (Paraphrasing -- it was long ago I read this.)

"I gotta bounce dog" ? I find it hard to hear those words coming from Bruce's mouth.🤣

Lovely to hear 'Bruce' had a heart, let us not forget everyone has good and bad in them.

Your description of this event is the most accurate ive heard yet! It matches exactly on what we were hearing about it in the day. People were always trying to test bruce. Most were gang members. Thats a fact! Bruce was not a bully. Lol

I really enjoy your accurate storytelling about Bruce Lee 50 plus years ago, particularly your use of modern lingo. Your dedication to truth with obvious in-depth research reflects positively in what you relate and how you tell it.. Don't worry about the kids in the background, they were not a distraction, but added to your engaging personality. Keep up the good work and thanks for providing so much detail about a super-talented martial artist and master philosopher, Bruce Lee.

I tell you what bruh you right. I'm Hispanic American, I have a Chinese wife of 19 years from Beijing, we have two kids 14 and 11. The "save face" stuff is annoying. After 21 years of being with her, it took me many years to make her understand that crap don't matter. But my in laws are all about it, as well as the rest of her family back in the mainland. Just silly, makes the culture seem childish and petty because of it. On a personal level, it is so frustrating. They are stubborn as hell, and unwilling to see things a different way....because of "face". To them though, that's all that matters. They would rather suffer than "lose face".
