RACISM Unveiled - Northern Cities You Should Avoid
Hidden Hatred: Uncovering Racism in Northern Cities

This video is made for educational purposes.
When it comes to racism, the south gets a bad rap. To be fair, there was slavery and legal segregation until the 1960s, so they do need to own up to their past. But does that mean the north is exempt? There was actually slavery in the north, although not to the scale and duration as below the Mason-Dickson line. But that doesn’t mean that the north, which prides itself on being a liberal utopia, is exempt from the wrath of this list. In this video, we’ll look at towns in the north that have made headlines for racism and anti-Semitism. We’ll look at different racial groups and how they’ve fared in the north.

As a native Detroiter I’m shocked it didn’t make the list. My elementary school was 99% white and racial slurs were thrown around like it was their own name

As a Southerner from Montgomery, I appreciate this post. I get tired of Northerners acting like racism only exist in The South. 🙄

This list needed to be made. There are so many issues with Chicago, and it's definitely racist, not only in the leadership, but also with the people. Good job bringing up the Texas border crisis in Chicago

In the South They Had Sundown Towns & in the North They Had Sundown Neighborhoods.

Im from Buffalo, and i moved to the South. Ab-so-lute-ly true. I saw way more confederate flags there than down here. There are no mixed neighborhoods outside of the immigrant-heavy west side. Down here, blacks, hispanics, and whites live in the same neighborhoods and no issues or the Buffalo dog-whistle known as "lower property values". Real shocker, tbh

I knew Boston was gonna be numero uno. Some pro athletes have no trade to Boston clauses in their contracts.
  • @naptime0143
You forgot to mention how NYC and the state of NY is home the most segregated schools in the country for black and white residents along with being the 2nd most segregated for whites and Hispanics/latinos

I’ll be suprised if Cincinnati Ohio isn’t on here. Since technically it’s a northern city but literally one bridge away from being Kentucky.

Philadelphia (Philly) and Baltimore need to have an honorable mention. They are not immune to the pressure from New York, Boston and DC.

Well researched video. Thanks for shining light on this

I don’t get it. Are they calling blacks racist or xenophobic for complaining about the migrants. If so I’m totally shocked

I grew up in the heart of Philly, and as someone who is a mix of white, Asian and Pacific Islander, I faced constant racism as a kid, 95% of it from blue collar white kids in a predominantly democrat area.

I’m surprised Indiana didn’t make the list with the history of the KKK and sundown towns

I've heard plenty of people say Boston, but i also know everyone's experience is different. I lived shortly in Boston (6 months) but never experienced anything out of the ordinary of 'typical northern hospitality' aka no hospitality
