Although he does preface his statement with an apology to all those affected, including depositors, stakeholders, shareholders, staff, members of the public and taxpayers, the statement is devoid of emotion. As early as page six, he flatly states: “We engaged in a web of corrupt activities.”
National Treasury Dondo Mogajane, through a legal representative, denied any impropriety in his dealings with VBS Bank and/or Mr Matodzi.

Initially they swore blindly they never received a cent from VBS and now all of a sudden they received a donation!!! They are guilty and need to be dealt with NOW!!

Pauli and Marianne Thamm have been brilliant in uncovering this injustice. The EFF has threatened, insulted and racially abused them but they've been consistent. To those that say they should keep the same energy when it comes to 'white' corruption, I guess reading is a not a strong point. Daily Maverick is free, you may, if you can afford it, pay a fee to support their incredible work.
