I'm an Aldi Manager and I'm loving all the Aldi fans in the comments šŸ˜ Hello all you lovely people, we love you all ā™„ļø
  • I try to give people my cart so they dont have to use their quarter. They usually try but I say just pay it forward. It makes me feel good to try to help peoplešŸ˜‰

I recently learned about Aldi. I was surprised about needing a quarter to have a cart. Fortunately a shopper lend me one. Iā€™m vegetarians, so bought all my fruits from them and got hooked. The quality of fruits was great. I love the fact that they allow their cashiers to sit while serving customers. That shows their caring about their employees.
  • Honestly, 10 yrs ago prior to becoming an exclusive ALDI shopper , I told my Mother that I just wasnā€™t interested in generic foods. BOY WAS I WRONG !! I only shop at Aldi now , no more Walmart . Friendly staff , clean store and the produce is the freshest available. Prices allow me to feed my family healthy meals within my budget. Thanks Aldi šŸ˜

If we get a cart without the quarter, we leave the cart for someone else. Share the love.

I don't buy the Aldi bags or bag/box my groceries in the Aldi store. I have Rubbermaid tubs in the back of my van. I just unload the groceries directly from the cart into my tubs. Then I take the loaded tubs inside the house to unload. I put the tubs back in the van right away so I don't forget them for next time. I can't take credit for this idea. I saw a lady doing this in the Aldi parking lot one day and determined that I must do it this way as well.

I LOVE ALDI. I spent $56 at Aldi. I went onto my local grocery store's website and put the same items with comparable products into my cart. It would have been more than $80.

As an Aldi employee, I can't stress enough to PLEASE refrain from using anything other than a genuine quarter to access a shopping cart. We've had so many people use keys, quarter duds, etc and they've caused our carts to get jammed. We end up having to pry out said item with pliers. Not only that but please keep in mind your groceries are being loaded into a different cart at check out than the one you came in with. So you'll be leaving your fake quarter with the next person in line OR you'll be holding up the line trying to get it back. Trust me, it is far less of a headache for everybody if you just keep a quarter handy. Whether it's in a car cupholder/coinholder or a quarter keeper keychain. If you don't have one ask to borrow a quarter from a cashier. They will be more than happy to lend you one. Just please use a REAL quarter. Your local Aldi employees will greatly thank you for it!šŸ˜Š
  • a good 80% of aldis food is name brand extras labled with the aldi brand. I was a security guard at one of the main office/warehouses.
  • Hi guys Aldi manager here as well. I'd say PLEASE don't do #5 getting a plastic quarter or using a quarter attached to your keys...Ill explain why. Aldi's quarter cart system is set up to keep loose carts out of the parking lot but ALSO as part of the system that keeps our lines fast. As you are still unloading, we are already scanning and putting your items into a new cart. (Quarter already in the new cart) Then we take your empty cart and keep it movin. When you come with a cart attached to your specific key ring etc, we can't start scanning until you're 100% unloaded and give us that cart to put your items back into. It slows the line tremendously and it rude to others to make them wait extra. Thank you!
  • FYI: a lot of the laundry detergents are name brand just bottled in generic bottles. And I worked at a paper company toilet paper, paper towels napkins were all made there they just changed the press print and plastic wrappers. We made for Walmart, target, Aldi, Meijer, Kroger, Jewel, Piggly Wiggly, Save a lot, Food for less, and a bunch more I donā€™t remember. The generic detergent is the middle batch of soaps during a change over so the machines donā€™t stop. So when they are going from tide with Downey recipes to tide with bleach recipe, they put up generic bottles for change over then sell them to dollar stores or supermarkets as generic brands.

I've been shopping Aldi this past year, I love the prices and selections and won't go back to name brand supermarkets unless I absolutely have to. Favorites so far are: vegetables (especially bagged cilantro), chicken broth, vacuumed packed chicken and beef, frozen berry varieties and the chocolate eclairs. Lastly, their checkout staff is amazing fast and usually very polite.

Keep a few quarters handy and when you see someone digging for their quarter, give them one of yours. . It will come back to you !!ā¤

One thing I like at Aldis is their preserves--made with sugar, not corn syrup.
  • Iā€™m an assistant store manager at Aldi! With the twice and nice return policy we only do the twice as nice if the customer mentions it and there has to be more then half of the product left, it canā€™t be an empty box. I have to disagree with our toilet paper products. They are actually pretty good. But as far as name brand products it costs more money to bring the product into store so itā€™s priced a little high since we donā€™t always carry that product. Now with the whole quarter situation, cashiers and myself included will sometime start an order in another cart we have near us at the register while the customer finishes unloading thereā€™s. So they donā€™t always get ā€œtheir quarterā€ back. I find it to be annoying when the customer tells me they have a ā€œspecial quarterā€ in there. I bit my tongue all the time and refrain from telling them to just not use it then. So having a device isnā€™t always the better option here. Just ask the cashier for a quarter if you donā€™t have one. The ads online are the exact same ads in store. Prices vary by location because of what other stores are around that specific Aldi. Aldi cashiers have to meet a certain ring speed number or items per min each day. The faster they are the less time your in line and also makes the second cashier available to do something else instead of sitting on register. As far as mark downs go we really on mark down special buy items to clear product off the shelf and make room for something else. We canā€™t just mark down a regular item we always carry daily. If you find something an Aldi find item slightly damaged but still want to buy it we can give a certain dollar amount off as well. But only sb products. PLEASE TAKE BOXES!! I joke around that itā€™s one less box I have to crush later. Wednesdays are actually when prices change and yes items go on mark down. They are also one of the busiest days so come right when we open at 9am. A lot of are products do come straight from Germany shipped to the USA. Hope all of this new info helps
  • I'm a former 16 year long Aldi employee and I just wanted to say after leaving their company and refusing to shop there anymore your channel has brought me back around. They have a lot of great products if you know what your doing.
  • @jellybelly7629
Iā€™m telling you what. I have saved so much money shopping at Aldi. Iā€™m on a fixed income and I can get almost everything I need there for the month and have enough left over for the few items I need to get and then some elsewhere. I mainly grew up in Germany. So itā€™s so nice to see and get some of the items I grew up with. Thank you for your videos and your enthusiasm. God Bless

  • Iā€™ve shopped at Aldi for the last 26 years. Theyā€™ve come a long way and I love that theyā€™re expanding! šŸŽ‰ I especially like their ziplock bags, spices, produce and frozen Shepherds Pie (for my 84 year old father who loves it). Around Christmas time, they have all sorts of great deals. We like to buy the large box of assorted chocolates and give as nice gifts! šŸŽ„ Very economical especially if you have many to buy for! Thank you so much for sharing!
