MY PLANT COLLECTION 2021 | AIR PURIFYING | SAFE FOR PETS | HOUSEPLANTS

Welcome back Ramblers!

In today’s vlog, I’m talking about my beloved plant babies. I just want to clarify I know I said some of the names wrong, I was just rambling on then while I was editing I was like whoops, I pronounced that wrong.

Also, so sorry for Oaka Polkas’ butt in your face, she still a baby so doesn’t know when she is being inappropriate, haha! She just wants to be famous.

Anyway, in the video, I have put the names and the types of plants but I thought I would add them in the description too so it’s easier for you!

🌱The first plant I showed was “Fred” Fred is a Tillandsia (apart of the Bromelia Family). "Fred" is an air plant so he doesn’t need soil because he doesn’t have roots! He still needs water so I give him a little spritz every two weeks and he’s good to go. Fred is SAFE for pets and children so that’s pretty cool too. Fred doesn’t purify the air so he is just for decor, but I still love Fred.

🌱Next was “Baby Pablo” Baby Pablo is a Peperomia Obtusifolia, a relative of the pepper plant. "Baby Pablo" resembles a succulent with its fleshy leaves but is not related. Baby Pablo is SAFE for children and pets and is a super strong air purifier, which is super cool to have in your home.

🌱The third plant shown was “Celeste.” Celeste is a Maranta Leuconeura Fascinator Tri-colour, also known as a prayer plant, because at night when it gets dark she closes her leaves, then in the morning opens them up. Celeste is SAFE for children and pets and is a super strong air purifier.

🌱The fourth plant shown was “Brees.” Brees is a Neanthe Bella. Brees has been famous since the victorian ages, mostly in parlors where guests would be entertained. Brees is also SAFE for children and pets and is a super strong air purifier.

🌱The fifth plant shown is “Bean.” Bean is a Coffea Arabica. Bean is SAFE for children and pets and is okay at air purifying.

🌱 Sixth shown was “Vera.” Vera is an Aloe Vera plant. Aloe Vera plant is the most common household plant in homes but is very poisonous for children and pets, so Vera is NOT SAFE for your fur or human babies, BUT is a super strong air purifier and thrives in the dry sun.

🌱Next is good old “Bush.” Bush is a Boxwood Evergreen shrub. Bush is a classic garden shrub since it is good at being shaped into things for decor. Something I like about bush since I’m from Canada is it stays bright green even in the colder season, probably why it's called an Evergreen shrub. Bush is SAFE for children and pets.

🌱Lastly, my favorite is “Dumbo.” Dumbo is an Alocasia, more known as an elephant ear plant since their leaves are so big. Dumbo is a tropical plant so, in the rainforest, animals use the big and floppy leaves to hide under when it’s raining which is super cool. They can be slightly poisonous to children and pets so be careful if you have trouble makers in your home. Dumbo also drops water from her leaves when she has too much to drink.
