it was actually so nice to hear someone say "well deserved" to her because boy was it ever. that was an all-timer performance and she's talked about having imposter syndrome (for many years) which already makes her second guess herself but people (not all) seem to have instigated an atrocious affront against her for ... earning an oscar and labeling her- yes, HER- "racist," which i just could not believe and hope she didn't catch wind of. the brunt of it was on twitter and she eschews social media so again, hopefully not, but it was devastating to see her almost in a state of horror when her name was called (which in part was the dress, as she said, but she also said she fully blacked out mentally on stage. she has diagnosed anxiety disorder and panic disorder so the reaction people were quick to call fake when they were saying anything and everything to tear that poor woman down was in fact real). she's always so humble, gracious, and supportive: a class act. anyway, she has many more earned oscars in her future, is as remarkable a person as she is an actress, and i also hope to see her get that well-earned emmy in a few months for her work in 'the curse,' which is a performance that even manages to top her work in poor things: second to none but herself 😭 ANYWAY, i wish the best for her and can't wait to see kok. much love to emily 💛❤️💙
