The double standard of needing to wear makeup in the workplace and, if you don't, you're unprofessional. Yet liking makeup makes you superficial.
  • @tillie3545
You wear makeup: “Oh, so you are insecure! Men like natural women!” You don’t wear makeup: “Wear makeup. You need to be more feminine! How men are going to look at you then?” I’ve been told both.

When a guy says “a period can’t hurt that bad” me “yeah no uterus no opinion!”
  • "Do you have to wear that today? Your uncle is coming by with his sons" like excuse me?

When you beat a guy at something, they say, "Well.. I let you win."
  • @JoMeiFah
when you stand up for women's issues, you get labeled a "feminist" like it's a bad thing. But when men stand up for women's issues, they're seen as heros.

When asked if you think you are beautiful: -yes: omg she’s so arrogant and selfish -no: oh no sweetie, you should accept and embrace yourself. You should learn to love yourself...

I saw this video where women responded back to catcalling and it was really inspiring

Not able to get birth control, can't walk anywhere alone at night, being taught what I can use as a weapon if someone approaches me, to never leave a drink alone and if you do to dump it, sexism, criticized for my weight, being groped then expected to not take it seriously, being asked if it's my time of the month when ever I'm upset about something petty, won't be taken seriously, being expected to have kids even though I don't want to.
  • Never realized my shoulders were so sexy until dress code pointed it out.

Teacher: “We need two strong BOYS to help out” Me a 16 year old volleyball player: “ I’m strong” Teacher: “oh we wouldn’t want to mess up that pretty hair of yours” I was literally wearing a messy bun because of how lazy I am. Boy: your bra strap is showing Me: ok no duh Boy: like I can see it Me: I can see your underwear because of how saggy your pants are but nobody comments on that do they Vice principal: dress code for undergarments showing Me: ur not gonna dress code him Vp: oh no those rules only apply to girls

"that's not ladylike" "oh you can't do that you're a girl" "well ofc i let you win" "lemme carry that for you" "sports are for boys" "you look like a boy" "dress like a girl" "wear more dresses" "be more nice" "why are you so uncomfortable?" "dress more appropriately" i think all girls can imagine at least a situation when these phrases can be said to you

When you have a friend that's a boy people ship you or think your dating it's so annoying
  • If girls who like girls can stay calm when a girl is wearing a skirt, then maybe skirts aren't the problem.
  • @auri198
They see you as weaker, they you as "just a girl" they see you as an object. They give you so much disrespect but then want your body in return. It's not fair.
  • @EmilyTheIt
I am sick of the fact that the most important thing as a woman seems to be appearance
  • A few days ago I was walking my dog and my breasts are big for my age, But this car full of guys passed me and whistled and catcalled right at me. I am also tall for my age so I look older than I am. But they kept saying "whats under that shirt girrrrl?, Can't wait to get in your pants sweety!, You look lonely. want me to fix that?" and a whole bunch of other stuff. I'm fourteen. Now I don't take my dog on a walk any more. update: today (10-3-16) in school the same group of guys catcalled me today at lunch. The stupid thing is that they didn't get caught.

Here's a funny story: Once my teacher told my friend that she weren't allowed to wear short skirts, and she literally said to the teacher, 'well if this length of a skirt isn't even allowed, why are you still wearing those shorts?!' The teacher was wearing a knee length short, and my friend was wearing an almost knee length skirt without leggings inside..

The REAL reason why I hate gym class: “You throw like a girl” “You run like a girl” “You hit like a girl” “You kick like a girl”
