We've talked about sighting in your pistol and long-range rifle, so now we need to round out the trio! In this episode, instructor Pete Schreier explains the process of sighting in an AR-15 properly. AR's are incredibly versatile. Depending on the setup, one gun can essentially accomplish any task from hunting to defending freedom, so ensuring your optic is sighted in properly is extremely important to the gun's overall effectiveness. We touch on everything from recommended sight-in distance to best practices when shooting groups to be as accurate as possible.

As to being way off because someone at the store may have been playing with the scope. What do you guys think about mechanically centering the scope? 1. Windage: Take it all the way left or right. Bring it all the way the opposite direction ( counting your clicks) Then bring it back half the total clicks. Windage can be done the same way. Except your taking all the way down or up. Then do the same procedure with elevation . I do this to all my scopes. Time consuming but at least I am comfirming the scopes Mechnical Zero. Any drawbacks to this process? Enjoyed your video! Old Marine Iron Sight Lover here, just learning Mil Dots and scopes. My 63 year old eyes are happy again lol. Semper Fi

2x 3 round groups instead of a 5 round group. Got it.
