I find myself watching Christina and everytime I get chills listening to her sing. She was such a beautiful soulful person who's light went out too soon

The harmonies that Alex and Chrissy did on Beauty and the Beat have lived rent free in my head for ... wow a whole decade now. Incredible memories.

I never expected to cry today, but I probably should've. These covers were my childhood, I remember blasting the music on full volume, much to the dismay and annoyance of my parents, who wanted nothing more than a few moments of silence in their hectic lives. I remember screaming my lungs out to try and reach Christina's notes. I remember plugging in my headphones on the plane, I was moving countries. I remember humming the familiar tunes as I stared out at the sunny sky, wishing I could reach out and touch the clouds. When I didn't know clouds were made of water vapor, childhood innocence truly is a delicate thing. Growing up in a place where I wasn't accustom to the culture or even the language, this music that played in my headphones were a comfort I could return to, it was familiarity in a foreign place. When I was going through something, whether it be family, school, personal dillemas, growing pains, or just going through the process of adolescence. I would put in my headphones and drown put all other noises around me. 'cups' was a comforting little ray of sunshine that shined in the artificial light of my phone screen. I recall just watching the mesmerizing synchronization of the movement of the cups, the genuine smiles on the singers faces and just knowing it'd be okay. I admit, as life became more sporadic, and I was struggling to keep up with my own social life, especially during the pandemic when the world didn't know what to expect, let alone a child who couldn't attend school because of a virus, I never found myself leaning on my comfort covers, oddly enough. I live under a boulder so the news of Christina's death led me back here (a solid 4 years after the fact). I never realized how much she shaped my childhood, Just A Dream was the only song I played the day I found out. She is missed by so many people, so many lives were touched by her beautiful vocals, ingrained into our longterm memory because of how incredibly iconic she was. I wish her and her family peace forever more. So here I am, the volume up to a solid 50, now on speaker, as I type this nostalgic remembrance of my childhood. Thank you. For getting me through tough times. Thank you, for being a familiar set of voices in my ears when the world around me was so foreign. Thank you for making me smile when my life was tumultuous. Thank you for being there for so many others💕💕
  • Just a dream was the first video I seen, brings back old memories and Christina’s legacy lives on 💚💚

Wow, baby Chrissy & young ATC 🥺 . . Absolutely crazy how far they've come from those days. Signed to a label, opened for Fall Out Boy, have done multiple supporting tours, multiple headline tours, exploring the world with their music, huge hits in the gaming community. Couple of LPs, EP, now back to being an independent band about to release more music. . Loved them the whole damn time.

Up to this day i think about Christina and how unfair it is that she got torn out of this world by force. She is an absolute angel <3

I just wanna say, these are undoubtedly my biggest inspirations to be a musician and make YouTube content. The level of both music and video production is just incredibly high. Still can't believe it has been so long ago🥲Love from Taiwan.
  • Christina Grimmie seguirá siendo una voz eterna y hermosa ❤ Gracias a ella fue que me interesaron los covers, me enamoré de esta versión desde un inicio, la hicieron y seguirá siendo memorable.
