VIDEO #81 ATMOSVERSE NOTES - This is the first time that the 80s Heroine 'Angie' - or Angelica - has been named in a video (she had previously only been named in a deleted playlist title). Her Worldanvil page gives her full name as Angelica Morgan - C. C. Catch, Thomas Anders, Debbie Gibson, John Stamos and Cher are all popular 80s musicians (although at the time Stamos was arguably more famous for his acting roles than his music) - The movies Top Gun, Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Stand by Me having all just been released date the video to the summer of 1986 - Angelica previously mentioned an interest in Stephen King during her first appearance in Video #21 (Classroom), and owned some of his work in Video #25 (Try on Haul) - The breathing meditation course took place in Video #53 (Ballet Class); the POV character appeared to pass out but was actually mentally transported to the magical realm of El-Rah - It appears that Angelica was also transported during the course even if she took the experience for a dream; certainly her image previously appeared within the Chrono Realms in Video #50 (Potions) and on a screen in Video #71 (Cyberlimo Ride) - Angelica first met Professor Lamari in Video #39 (80s Partying); the professor was the one who invited them to the meditation course - Because they passed out during the course, Angelica took the POV character to be checked out at the medical center in Video #65 (School Medical Exam) - Pinecrest is, per the Worldanvil page, both the town in which the 80s videos take place as well as the name of the university based there - Mayhorn University was founded in England in the 19th century and was based out of Lord Greene's castle. Lady Anna and the POV character visited Mayhorn in Video #27 (Mysteries of the Book) - The link between Pinecrest and Mayhorn is supported by the former sharing the seahorse logo of the Greene family, as seen on Angelica's jacket in Video #21 - Everyone at the meditation course in Video #53 were given crystal prisms charged with energy before they started their breathing exercises - The secret society rumored to be active at Mayhorn and Pinecrest is the Vita Somnium Breve, or Order of the Sleepless - a gathering of scientists, inventors, historians and researchers. Lady Anna mentioned that the order used to gather at the Greenes' estate in Video #40 (Fortune Teller in the Train) - Anton is Angelica's twin brother who also attends the university and first appeared in Video #21

The way the three of herself interacts with herself is phenomenal
  • The 2 girls chatting made the video so much more immersive and relaxing! I know I'll be coming back to this one often! 😄
  • Her 80s videos always hit different. They feel like memories you’ve had but never actually experienced
  • The fact that you got the release dates of the films right when most major films mess that stuff up is perfect
  • @A.Scheffler
I was born in 1965. Watching this takes me back to that Time when my Hair actually was the most rebellious part of me (😇, my mother would tell you otherwise, I suppose... ) -wish you could have been there to give some advice😅
  • It's amazing to see how Anastasia can play three different roles without them really seeming to be the same person in a blatant "copy and paste", you can see the differences between Angie and Aggie (Angelica and Agatha) in the way they sit, and the The stylist's focused face, with that eighties makeup, gives her a unique vibe.
  • @LibrariansWife
I adore your 80s videos, the attention to details is just amazing. I was born in 1974, so I was a child in those early 80s, but this takes me back. Big hair, stonewashed jeans, the pastel coloured curlers and even the Marimekko wallpaper, which I believe, was from the 50s or 60s, but we sure did see this pattern a lot back in the 1980s. 😊
  • I love “personal attention but not talking to you” personal attention There is something so relaxing about being there, listening to people but not receiving direct attention
  • @JixedUp
I love these 80s videos, there’s something so cosy about their style
  • you even see the shadow of her combing our hair. The little details are such a perfection
  • @DrTurkMD
The atmosphere NPCs chatting about topical 80s things in the bg is funny and well-done. Felt like a video game ASMR hair cut lol.
  • @Dj-KZ
This has to be Anastasia's best multi-character video yet! I love how quickly and naturally each of the characters speak to each other and interact.
  • The 80s sitcom intro is pure perfection. Brought me back to my childhood.
  • @BohemianAnthem
The fact you create a supposedly chaotic vibe in a soothing way is SUCH a mood for me... These things give me such stress (going to the hairdresser or socializing in any way, really) that even though many scenes come in very fantastic packaging - as in being from whole other eras or being straight up magical - they really help me with any anxiety I might have.

3:25 Based on the mentioned movies, this scene occurs sometime after August 22, 1986. (thanks, @boeing-777-x, I meant 1986, but typed 1988) Determining the exact time can be challenging because movies in the 80s remained in theaters for extended periods. It was not unusual for films to be screened for several years. For instance, "Star Wars," released in 1977, was still being shown in theaters into the 80s. VHS started appearing, but video rentals wouldn't take off until 1989. In 1987, I remembered 7/11 and The Wherehouse offered VHS movie rentals, but they were costly, requiring a $75 deposit ($200 inflation-adjusted) and a rental fee of $3 ($8 inflation-adjusted). In 1988 or 89, most movie rental places eliminated the deposit requirement. That's when VHS renting took off. A brief bit of 80s history from memory. 🙂
  • I love how these 80's videos make me feel so nostalgic for a time I was never a part of. Such amazing attention to detail and a wonderful aesthetic.

"River Phoenix was amazing in it. it will be a timeless classic FER SURE"!! i became an expert at Valley Girl talk back then... "fer sure" "totally" or "totally tubular" "grody to the max", "gag me with a spoon" & all the other fab little gems
  • @alyzzatomas6671
such nuanced characters! i liked how the two characters started to instinctively touch their hair when the hairdresser mentioned the stripping of natural oils on 3:06 from constant hair washing
