Why did you have to remind me Ringed City was eight years ago?
  • @Lakanus
Midir feels like youre fighting something indescribably more powerful than you, and makes you feel very small. Like you are an annoying bug dancing between this giant eldritch beings attacks. I enjoyed fighting Bayle, but i don't think it comes even close to that atmosphere.

Midir is so much harder than Bayle like its not even close

For me midir still wins, it was harder for me, i kill bayle on My second try, and no i did not use the mimic or summon, and for midir i had to use that magick that poison him to kill him. However thats only my opinion
  • Midir's HP pool was already insane without a stupid scaling system. Bayle and most of the Elden Ring DLC bosses just have no chill, he can't even let you breath a second when you enter the arena. I still like Bayle better personally.

Anyone notice how bad bros builds was when he fought Bayle?

I don't even know how yall use strength weapons in Ringed City using sell sword twin blade and the twind blade with bleed was my go to. I run out of stamina every time i use a strength weapon, Ringed Knight Greatsword was awesome tho.
  • Midir took me solid 60+ tries while Bayle took me like 5 tries without mimic tear + summoned Igon
  • Darkeater Midir was better simply by the fact that the game forced you to fight head on and attack his head. Problem with large bosses like Bayle suffers from is you just run up to it and attacks its legs, there is no interaction/dance with the boss as you do with Midir.

The Bayle fight was the best dragon fight for me
  • I like Placidusax better. I understand midir’s appeal and his boss fight is beautiful, but Placidusax is genuinely fun to fight. Bayle was by far, in my personal opinion, the worst boss dragon fight out of the three. He’s unnecessarily aggressive the moment you enter his arena, his grab attack has a janky dodge window, and every attack in his phase two has a nuke on it for some god forsaken reason. Bayle’s only appeal from my experience fighting him is igon, but with bayle’s aggression, the game punishes you for trying to summon him because he’s inside the arena, so fuck that. Fighting bayle felt like a chore. Midir felt like fighting something so much more powerful than you while being very fair. Placidusax was just so epic and fun, although not necessarily hard.

as the BIGGEST midir fanboy i have to crown bayle as the best dragon fight hes too cool

we didn't get to see Midir's laser nor Bayle's laser. Also, you have a summon for Bayle but not for Midir. Overall not a great way to compare the two
  • @issi529
Both very hard bosses, Bayle was slightly harder.
  • You can get a decent mic for cheap instead of just showing gameplay, where's the COMPARISON portion?
