Homelander is up to one HELL of a time

The idea of having Alastor as a surprise guest character would be fun, I can see him playing a bit like a fusion between M1K Rain and Quan Chi. In fact, if you really wanted to give him a story reason why he would even be participating in such an event you could say that he allied himself with Quan Chi to better work towards his REAL goal, and that's search for a certain COUGH COUGH SHINNOK'S AMULET COUGH COUGH "lost artifact" that would help aid in his secret conquest to rule all of Hell/the Netherrealm. As for how he can even leave Hell/the Netherrealm, well it could be a simple case of the main barrier that helps separate the living from the damned was severely weakened by Titian Shang Tsung's and Titian Quan Chi's "little" invasion, pretty much think of Scorpion's story in Midway's Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 except replace Scorpion with Alastor and Shao Kahn with Titian Shang Tsung and Titian Quan Chi.

Now do Alastor's ending, where he defeats Shang Tsung and broadcasts his screams, fully restoring his fearsome reputation as Shang Tsung is well-known as a monsterous sorcerer by the people he's put into graves.
