Hi IChang, me and my girlfriend are your big fans and we are both from Kuching, Sarawak. We have been looking forward for your visit to Kuching and you came! Here’s our appreciation for your love and effort to make such wonderful video to introduce Kuching. Looking forward to meet you and Jimmy coincidentally someday in Kuching🤭
  • Sabah and Sarawak are totally a different region from Peninsular Malaysia. It is way more diverse and way more mystery and hidden gem in there. The nature, the forest and the sea are way beyond your expectation. It has one of the most beautiful sea, island and forest in SEA. Make sure to visit famous camping site and the cultural village.

Nowdays i don't go for layer cakes anymore, but must take home the butter cake from Mira's cake house. A slice of that with a cup of black coffee in the evening... WOW!

Sarawak Cultural Village is a must go place in Kuching, Sarawak. It is like a museum of cultures.
  • Best time to learn Sarawak culture is during Gawai festival, you can go visit all the houses in the villages and try all kinds of local native delicacy that you can't find at the shop and enjoy the celebration. Everyone open their houses to anyone. That is the true Sarawak hospitality! And also World Rainforest Music festival in Kuching is a must visit. You get to experience music, dances and cultures from every continent.
  • I’ve watched you guys way back when jimmy didn’t even show his face on camera, u guys came a long way, very proud of u guys, my favourite YouTube vlogger and content creator❤️

Both Sabah and Sarawak have their own diverse ethnic groups aside from Malay, Chinese, and Indian. The food too is quite diverse, with influence from the respective major ethnic groups of Sabah and Sarawak, as well as a bit from Indonesia and the Philippines. You will find it to be different than what is offered in the Peninsular. There is a lot to be discovered in terms of food, culture, and nature. Please do visit us again in the Borneo islands😊😉

Dear ichang, i suggest you google ethnic in malaysia and you will see lots of diversity beside chinese, malay and indian. I think u never heard kelabit, nun bawang, penan, kenyah, rungus, iranuh and many more. And every ethnic got their main dish. Keep digging more about Malaysia multi diverse ethnic and u will find Malaysia is a fascinating place to discover ❤

Hi IChang, a fellow Kuchingite and aspiring content creator here! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 I've been following your channel since the early days when you started, and was captivated by the way you present Malaysian food. Welcome to Kuching and I hope you and Jimmy enjoy your trip here. 2:38 The sugar syrup we used in our 3 Layer Teh C Peng, is called "Gula Apong" or otherwise "Atap". It is made from nipah palm. 17:08 I like how you eat the Kek Lapis I would love to attend your sharing session on how to be a content creator. If you plan on conducting a sharing session in Kuching, do let me know, perhaps I could help you arrange. Looking forward to meeting you and Jimmy in Kuching one day. I can be your guide to explore deeper, more food and also the nature side of Kuching. Till then, stay safe and continue to make more videos!

Welcome to Borneo! I’m glad you guys had a good time! I studied in Kuching for four years (I’m from Sabah), and I could never get bored of the food and nature there. I can't wait for you guys to explore more of East Malaysia ❤

Sarawak and Sabah food, culture and sights are next level than Peninsular Malaysia, as they have more freedom and acceptance of each others differences. Have been there many times, and feels travelling there is just really good.
  • Hello, Ichang and Jimmy, saw you guys tried Sarawak Laksa. Next, you should try Kolomee, Kueh Chap and oyster pancake. These are famous Sarawakian food to die for. I missed Sarawakian food a lot since I moved to oversea. Thank you for visiting Sarawak. Hope you enjoy your trip.
  • Congratulations to both of you... im in the Philippines but ive lived in Miri Sarawak for more tha 2 years i enjoyed your adventure in Malaysia especially trying their food. I miss Malaysia.
  • @ronyap9746
You will find a whole new world in East Malaysia, that is Sarawak and Sabah different from West Malaysia. You will need longer stays to enjoy life in the culture, food and natural environment of the East. May your journey will be interesting and fulfill your dreams and adventures.
  • Hi Jimmy and Ichang. I'm a bohungkitas-in-training (Kadazan lorekeeper, similar to a Japanese Kannushi). I encourage you both to come to Penampang, Sabah, Malaysia (A Malaysian state just north of Sarawak). Because we host the annual harvest festival called Tadau Kaamatan. Do come to KDCA (The Kadazandusun Cultural Association) on the 29th - 31st of May. There will be local food hawkers selling delicious delicacies, I'd recommend getting pork and local alcohol (Lihing, bahar or montoku). And cultural shops in each corner especially around Koisaan Cultural Village. You'll be able to experience the hundreds of cultures we have in Sabah. Do consider visiting and happy adventuring. Kizab Habun (God bless).
  • Welcome to Sarawak. While you were there why not meet up with @Global Gibbon, a Dutch guy living and married a local for good adventure. Love to see you all collaborate 😊
