Growing up, Laurie Greenland could see Bristol’s St. George Skatepark from his bedroom window. It was there, amongst the ramps and rails, a journey began that would take him out to the local trails, through the depths of tragedy, and all the way to the top of the World Cup DH circuit. Despite a decade of chasing his MTB dreams around the globe, he’s always drawn back to the friends, family, trails and waves in the Southwest of England. For Laurie Greenland, This is Home.

This was great to see. I’m in his dads shoes. My wife passed away in April after a 7 year cancer journey. I also have three teenage daughters. I just got back on the bike after a long lay off to care for my wife. I had sold all of my bikes and gear to focus on her and have less distraction in life. Now the bike is one of the only places my mind is at peace.

Surf, skate, ride bikes. The OG cure for everything a doctor wants to give a pill for.

I'm a lifelong surfer and skater, but also ride MTB for many years. It's so amazing to know Laurie as a fan from DH MTB world and see this other side of him surfing and skating. He happens to have a very stylish backside smith grind to boot! What an epic guy with an epic father. Cheers Greenland family!

Wherever your Mam is she will be proud of the man you have become on and off the bike and of your Dads job of keeping it going. ❤

Great guy with great dad and friends! Loved the surf part. At 0:21 the editor had so much fun he made him surf natural :-)
