Does anyone else declutter like this? It’s so funny how you will do something one way forever, and then it just changes & you forget how you used to do things lol! I’ve gotten into such a habit of doing these massive, full on declutter sessions - and although it’s very satisfying… it’s often difficult to find a full day to dedicate to one chore like that - so on this day, I got SO MUCH other stuff done (not filmed 😜) but I also still got SO much decluttered in these few days, simply by using small pockets of “free” time! Also… I have been taking more time the past day or two to try on more of my clothes (shirts specifically) and I may need to declutter some more of them because some are getting bigger than I realized! …which is such a blessing because yall know I’ve tried so much over the years to find something that works with my hashimotos - and finally I did 🥹 it honestly makes me want to cry (happy tears because im grateful to feel more like “me” again & sad tears that it took me so long to figure it out) Anywayyyyyy… look at me writing a whole paragraph 😜😅 I guess I’m feeling chatty today! 😂 So if you want to chat… I’m here ↓ I hope you’re having a good day!! ♡amanda LINKS for everything in todays video : LINKS liketk.it/4KFAd MUDWATER mudwtr.com/THISCRAZYLIFE

I think it's so sweet how you have artwork inside your cabinet doors. It's a fun way to see them often without having them on the fridge or something.
  • @beachlover4413
Love this video. I love when you declutter slowly and talk about what to declutter. It is much more enjoyable and motivating than watching someone declutter at super fast speed. My granddaughter (7) loves sharks and has since she was little. I keep thinking she will outgrow it but maybe not. :) I love how you keep the kids' artwork in the cabinet doors. Great idea to display but not clutter. I love how you and Kyle are real and practical and not into impressing others, not buying everything new to make us buy,. You have a great calming voice and such a sweet personality. And I love how you and Kyle get along! You are my favorite youtuber.
  • @jaclynfleser261
I love how realistic you are and how helpful you are to community of homemakers and more!

Hey Amanda, I just wanted to let you know that you can toss out the blood tester because it won't work properly once they expire. I know this from experience. I hope this information helps.
  • Great video, Amanda! My son is a Type 1 diabetic, and I can tell you from many years of experience that it’s always best to replace a glucose monitor after it expires so you get accurate readings. By the way, you look amazing! ❤
  • @risarahn7083
I have been preaching this to my family and extended family for years! How do you eat an elephant? Just one bite at a time…. That’s how to declutter in manageable bites. One drawer at a time. One cabinet a time. Etc… do what you have the mental energy for! I think it’s best for people that are overwhelmed, struggle with depression or chronic pain or are too busy. I am included in that group- and I want calm home. Purge baby purge!!
  • @candidulce0714
I am a big fan of a little at a time. It makes the big cleans way easier
  • I have started doing this to a degree but I definitely need to continue it on a regular basis. One thing I have started doing is keeping a bag handy in my closet and any time I put on something that I doesn’t fit, or see something I don’t like anymore, I immediately put it in the bag for donation. This has been such a helpful tool when it comes to cleaning out my closet.
  • @gooseygirl1
Oh, I love a good purge and do them pretty regularly, but for the most part I keep replacement buying very low unless you count place-mats and candles. I'm obsessed with those. lol I am on pins and needles to see your very first room rescue! You're going to help so many people, and from your existing videos of what y'all have done in your own home, whatever you do for others will be gorgeous. Wish I had the money for a room revamp, but I'll have to settle for learning from your channel, and incorporating small changes for myself on a very tight budget. Thank you for all you teach us.

Hi Amanda! So happy that you figured out what works best for you and you are feeling more like yourself! It must feel great to declutter the clothes that no longer fit! I like decluttering this way especially since I have done the big decluttering of my whole house. This is so helpful to help maintain it but still get rid of the things that we no longer need. Can’t wait to see what you do with the entryway to your bedroom!
  • @jos-1994
Great video Amanda. I like this addition to your videos. I can tackle it all but id rather do it in bits like you. The word declutter can be a bit of a trigger for me. I work hard for what I have, and I remember those moments I wasn't able to buy any extras nor splurge even the smallest of things. My budget was tight. Now I am able to buy things that once was a wish. This weekend I reorganized 2 of my closets that needed some attention. I was able to set aside a shopping bag worth of items for consignment and now my closet consists only of items that fit me since my weight loss. I tend to organize and go through my closet about 4 times a year (seasonal). As I've gotten older and since my weight loss and health journey, I buy smarter with items I need rather than what I want. For that reason, it helps me to stay within budget and rarely find the need to declutter. Congrats on the 40lb weight loss. So inspiring👍🏽🙌🏽🫶🏽
  • I'm so glad that Kyle isn't gagging anymore cleaning the drain on his bathroom sink!! I guess that that is TWO pats on the back for Amanda having great ideas. 🙂

Hi Amanda...Love your puzzle board! Daddy bought one for my mom for Christmas about 25 years ago. My mom had debilitating rheumatoid arthritis, so having two edges flat and two raised helped make it easier for her to pick up the pieces. The drawers are great for sorting pieces. I've lost both of my parents, but whenever my husband and I decide to work on a puzzle, the first thing we grab is their puzzle board. As always, love your videos and looking forward to your next one!
  • Girl, good on YOU!!! Doesn’t it feel so good?! I did this with my Christmas and spring/fall/winter decor on the first and second day of summer break. It felt like the perfect kickoff! Thank you for the inspiration to tackle more spaces, Amanda! ❤
  • @soldonrvlife
I started folding tee shirts Marie Kondo style. I like being able to see each shirt instead of having them stacked. I also feel I can fit more in the drawer. Great video
  • @ShannMarie424
I also have an unhealthy love for sharks! I have stuffies, blankets and ALWAYS watch Shark Week! Jaws is one of my favorite movies!!!! I also needed this video because I really really need to declutter my clothes. I definitely just told my Mom that when we talked on Thursday lol it's like you read my mind haha I think so I don't get overwhelmed, I'll do a dresser at a time then tackle my closet again.
  • @jahnastokes4236
This is the way that I declutter. I also do the kind of decluttering where especially if it's a drop zone area or a shelf where a lot of random items get put just to get them out of the way, I make it a long term by the end of the week goal that that space or shelf will be clear. So I'll try and clear one or two items off of it a day and by the end of the week that space is cleared but it doesn't feel overwhelming doing it because it's tiny bite size pieces. This has helped me so much to tackle spaces that overwhelm me. I also love the timer idea because sometimes we put off decluttering that one drawer or shelf or cupboard because we think it will take so long. However if you just grab a trash bag and a donation box and set a timer you can be easily surprised about how quickly you can get that space done. The timer is a reminder as well if you don't have lots of time and the space isn't finished then it's at least a bit better than what it was and it only took that little time. Progress not perfection is better than no progress at all.

💥IN REGARDS TO THE INSULIN MONITOR. 💥 The test strips DO INDEED expire. You will not get an accurate reading if you use them. FYI: You will also get an inaccurate reading if you leave the cap open on the strips. THE MONITOR AND LANCETS will be fine. Personally, I would order new Lancets if needed as well. There's always a chance of rust from moisture getting in. 🤷🏽‍♀️
