Thanks so very much ... I have been searching for information on the destruction and damage at Blind Pass for days...It looks like Castaways and The Mad Hatter didn’t fare to well...made lots of memories there with family and friends...Prayers for all who lost loved ones and homes ...

Wow. Absolutely heartbroken over the Extreme damage. 😢. I Love Sanibel and Captiva! ♥, Had the best of times there, long ago....
  • Thanks for posting the video. You can see how new construction homes were mostly undamaged.

I like these videos. Had been to Sanibel and Captiva many times. My Uncle had a place on Sanibel decades ago but moved to Naples. Getting back to the videos, I am amazed on how clear the video is and the range of this drone. The drone gives us the ability and a different view of the world around us. Thanks for the views. Keep it up.

Best look at Castaways so far. It really took a beating.

We were due to have our holiday in Sanibel in two days time. We are so gutted.

Congratulations - Excellent video, and very well done! My family and our Florida relatives sometimes vacationed at the Castaways, so I was very much looking forward to a video such as this one. I found it fascinating to see all the interesting homes there, and how they stood up to the hurricane. To my surprise, most did surprisingly well. But the vegetation really seemed decimated. Thanks again for this high quality video!

Excellent quality video and flight coordination. This video illustrates the extensive damage. Sad to see such destruction of a place my wife and I love to visit.

Have seen few pictures/videos of home farther from the water. Specially Rabbit Road homes, Ding Darling, schools.. will there be any videos for these areas? Please and thank you much ❤️
  • Now lets be honest here. The eye wall of a Cat 4 (borderline Cat5) hurricane buzz sawed through this area slowly. And yes the damage is great. But just look at how many places are standing and how many metal roofs withstood everything nature tossed at them. I would have expected everything to look more like the Sanibel Causeway with huge areas just wiped away. But much of it stands. The first floors may have flooded but wow, the construction is amazing.

What a great resource for those who may be wandering the status of their home! Great woork!
  • 53 years in SE Florida and last September was the first and only time we surfed Florida's west coast (for Hurricane Larry). We surfed just South of blind pass and parked in that lot past the bridge at 0:55. The sand bar was perhaps 200 yards off the shore and it appears to have been washed away with much of the beach sand.

Thanks for your videos, both this and the prior one of North Captiva. The drone footage is incredible and devastating at the same time. Do you happen to have any flights further north from Blind Pass, on the homes along Captiva Drive before Tween Waters? The other clip stopped north of there.
  • This is so breaking heart to see that's why you should never take granted in what you got home vehicles cause you could end up like this in that's not funny them are beautiful homes there in what I heard these people can't even go back to their homes my prayers are with you all in Florida keep the faith in don't give up

Your drone video footage is awesome! You should be selling it to the news outlets. One thing I think would be very cool is if you could overlay a map to show approx area. We typically travel to Fort Myers area every winter but other than the Times Square / Pier area, I couldn't really place the footage or the affected areas. Thanks.
