One of the nicest things the kitchen staff did for us on our first cruise was they surprised my Filipino wife by making her chicken adobo. We thought they were only going to make a few peices until they put a large bowl of rice on the table and about 2 chickens worth of adobo. The family we were dining with ate really well that night because they just got 2 dinners.

Another tip on passports: if you are a naturalized citizen (born elsewhere, but now a US citizen) it usually takes longer to apply for one because you have to send all your naturalization paperwork in with the standard documents, so the turn-around times don't generally apply - always give yourself extra time, if you can.
  • The elevators on the Wish have which floors they go to listed outside the elevator door, no need to check inside. Also, the forward and aft stairways have different colors, one is green, and the other is blue. One has Cinderella's carriage motifs, and the other has songbirds. Makes it easier to keep up with where you are.

We are Disney Cruise line freaks... We are on the Silver Anny on the Fantasy here in May! We are all about DCL and Empty Nesters and I vlogg my senior life on DCL.. We do at least 4 cruises a year. We live in Texas so are lucky to be able to catch a few a year from here. We love Disney Cruise Line and their services. Cheers AJ!

My sister ordered dessert for an appetizer. You can really do anything

If you live in the northeast, I’d highly recommend a NYC cruise. The cruise itself is cheaper and it’s cheaper to take a train or a bus into the city then it is to fly and have to spend a night in the hotel before. Bermuda is also my favorite port of call so you don’t miss out on excursions. Also sailing down the Hudson is amazing and the boat was way less crowded.
  • Perfect timing that you posted this right when my first Disney Cruise is next week!
  • My kids saw a video about a Disney Cruise and ask us daily when we are going to go on one. I've never cruised before so this was very helpful! Unlimited ice cream while aboard?! Hahaha no wonder my kids wanna hop on a boat! I think Disney World will happen first but this looks awesome!
  • The automatic tip is not just per night per state room but per person per night per stateroom. I.E. 2 people will pay $29 per night. At least that is what it was when I went in Nov 2022.

The nursery for us was $9/hr on the wish for our 3 year old. We just did 2 hours a day except for castaway cay day, he absolutely loved it and the cast members were great communicating through the app. Highly recommend it. My little will be aged out of the nursery on our next trip and the kids club age is a little strange for me to feel ok leaving my 4 year old. Also our servers were amazing!! My little gets a glass of chocolate milk at home every night for dinner, after the first night they had his ice cold milk ready every night. Didn’t have to ask and they made sure to not put any food he’s allergic to on or near his plate (although I kept his epipen with me, it was great not to stress it)

ive never been on a cruise before, and it amazed me that i could still use imessage to text people off the ship using the on ship wifi. it was awesome. the wifi near the back sucked tho lmao

My gf ordered 2 birth certificates, just in case she didn’t get her passport (or birth certificate that you have to send off with the passport application) back in time. We were NOT missing that cruise 😅
  • Just know that the disney fantasy and the disney dream are sister ships! Theyre almost identical with some smaller touches that make them unique! The fantasy is better for longer trips like 7-13 day cruises and the dream is better for 3-5 day cruises!
  • I just came back from my first Disney cruise last week (San Diego Port/Mexican Riviera) and I really didn't realize how many little presents and doo-dads we would get from other travellers. I wish I too had brought little trinkets to share with other sailors.

One thing I found incorrect as an experienced cruiser: you do NOT want or need to bring your passport off the ship with you at ports of call. I repeat DO NOT bring your passport. Your key-to-the-world card or room key is your ticket through customs and back on the ship. Bring a paper copy of your passport and/or have a clear picture of your passport with you but NEVER the physical thing. You can very easily have a family member or crew member aboard bring you your passport or send it to you if you cannot get back on the ship or are detained. They cannot steal it back for you if it gets stolen or find it for you if you lose it in another country. Just lock up your passport in your room safe and bring along a photocopied paper of it with you when you get off. If you are detained or barred from getting on the ship then a paper copy will have all the information they need to confirm your citizenship and a crew member will be able to get you your passport from your stateroom.
  • You can call ahead and request a specific line up for your rotational dining. We have done this for almost every cruise and received what we asked for.

Omg would’ve loved this video before I went on my cruise last may!

In your next video, pls make toddler parents aware of the fact that the pool will not be available for use unless 3 years old. It was kind of a bummer when I went for my first time with the kids, splash pad & castaway was our only water time. Most people don’t know this.
