Silver State Classic Challenge - 140MPH traffic

Starting is spaced to avoid traffic, but the diesel truck passed us while we were doing 140MPH. Slightly embarrassing as we were running a 911, but we were sticking to our speed plan. We then both ran into a slower Viper as we entered the narrows. When we exited, the Viper hit it to make up time. The truck was long gone. We ended up placing 3rd. Race was 2007. Sorry, no Google + account and don't want to give up so much information to get one so can't reply.

Damn even at 140 it looks so slow except for the center line clicking by. I could have used another 3 minutes of time. So that you got on make or break stretch.

Cross engine swaps, high end, are allowed? That is if you meet all the safety requirements... I spoke with the sponsors of the race & got little clarity. You have scca & cali sponsored races. You have any ideas. I hate DOHC engines of Ford over the pushrod engines I prefer. Ls
