No time for edits, sonic or video tweaks with this one. What you see is what you get as I was running out the door.

Signal path: AMT Electronics WH-1 Wah - HardWire Tuner - Empress Compressor - Paul Cochrane Tim Overdrive/Boost - Montreux Guitars Knebworth II Distortion - Wampler Paisley Overdrive - Providence Anadime Chorus - Strymon El Cap - Neunaber WET Reverb.

All I've aimed to do here is shed some light on what these particular pedals sound like with a Les Paul and old-school Marshall circuit. Works for me!

By the way, the Knebworth II is experimental - I've never used it in the field before - but I wanted to check it out. Normally I'd go for the DRD by BearFoot with the LP/Marshall combo. I shall report back...

By the way II; if I was using the HIWATT (rarely available as backline hire interstate due to their cost) this board would differ significantly.

Cheers,

B

I really dig the way you've got your overdrives set up on this board. Everything sounds killer individually and all the different stacking options you have (not to mention having the compressor as another option) sound awesome too. I feel like even stacking all of them including the compressor wouldn't be an unusable sound. I'm a big fan of having as many available (usable) dirt tones/textures/gain levels as possible. Killer board.

Just like all the Strymon pedals, they're worth every cent. The El Cap is no exception, it's brilliant.

You are the man BG. Hope your tour is going well. I tried to find this at the manufacturer and retail outlets. Same song and dance from them all. Not in stock, won't be until the end of May. Blech.

I hope you will clean the messy wiring ! Thanks for the PGS videos, you're an amazing player with feeling, and you really know how to set a pedal to make it sounds fucking great !

Yeah, out of all the humans on this planet that are trying to find a voice for their playing, if one guy can provide something useful, even if he is getting it under less than ideal means, I have no problem with that. He is always spot on the money for his demos. I found out early that he has the same basic ear as I, so I catch his reviews every now and then to see whats up in Pedalville. His daughter is a great kid, and he lets her help. That says who he is as a dad. Standup guy.

hey burgs! Love the boredom videos and full manufacturer boards. Just wanted to point out a typo in the description. You wrote empress chorus. maybe a hint to the manufacturer?

Violet! Actually, it's a Violet Design 'The Amethyst Standard'. Expensive and worth every bloody cent. I've shot over 600 videos with it.
