  • Sonno 60 anni che seguo jimmy Smith e sonno unuco qui al mio paese che lo conosco e faccio conoscere ma jazz qui non asiste ne anche per sogno
  • Wow, what a fantastic performance by a group of legendary virtuosos. Jimmy Smith is the greatest jazz keyboard player of all time as far as I am concerned, not only for his incredible improvising skills, but his unbelievable harmonic and rhythmic genius and his amazing bass lines. I don't know anyone else who plays like him. He was so good it's beyond words.

Thank you for posting. I was at a 1972 Newport In NY Radio City Midnight Jam featuring these artists and Dexter Gordon, Art Blakey, Rahsaan Roland Kirk and more. I must be old!

Wow. Thanks for posting this priceless footage. I have the album box set & I never knew there was any footage on video. We still have all time greats in Mr. Burrell & Mr. Haynes with us, but this video clearly shows when Giants once walked the earth.

Dear Bob, many thanks for sharing this video, in the very beginning the text said that this concert was made in Budapest, Hungary at Erkel Theater. Kind regards Peter.

It’s interesting how they have Roy out front, and that even though they’re playing pretty straight ahead ( with people like Clark and Illinois):he’s breaking the time up in his usual way.
