Man, Ollie is killing it as an interviewer. Sounds like someone who's done their research and is asking thoughtful questions.
  • @shayrae1038
Fun fact. Trejo would only agree to a movie if his character is killed/jailed forever because he didn’t want to portray that being the bad guy is cool/rewarded, etc. Respect 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
  • I cant believe Danny Trejo is 80 years old. He's got the energy and zest for life as someone much younger than him. Great interview.
  • While Josh is more highlighted in Korean Englishman, Ollie truly shines in JOLLY. So much work into researching the guests and taking into consideration good questions and having flow throughout the entire interview makes the synergy so well! I teared up during Danny's story about the kermit frog and his mom and the story about working with his son directing his film. So blessed we get both channels!

Not Ollie looking like Eleven from Stranger Things season 1 😂😂😂
  • "did you ever dream you would open a restaurant?" "I never dreamed I was getting out of prison!"
  • This man is eighty years old, and survived cancer and a stroke, after a rough start to life. Incredible. He hasn't aged in thirty years, except to look happier. Had the pleasure of meeting him in LA years ago, he doesn't act like he's famous at all. Just a kind man. There's a reason he's a treasure to Angelinos.
  • I'm sure this sounds silly to some, but hearing Danny Trejo openly talking about getting emotional and crying in a movie scene gives me so much hope. Here's the toughest of the tough guys letting us know it's alright to cry. Love this guy. You deserve everything you have achieved and accomplished throughout your life, and wish you nothing but the best

My husband was his security for a Comicon here in Houston. He said Danny was so hard to keep up with, he feared nothing, had no hesitations about just walking into the crowds and embracing others. He was very personable and greeted everyone equally like an old friend. Not like most of the stars he worked with who avoided their fans. He was one of Hawk's favorite clients.
  • @Danoodless
Why am I crying when Danny starts talking about how everything good happen when he does good for others. Wow. Love this man.
  • "Everything good that's happened to me has happened as the direct result of helping someone else, and that's the way I live my life." What an amazing outlook on life. I wonder how much better the world would be if we prioritized helping others.
  • I’ve worked as a PA in a few movies Danny was in, he’s a gentleman. He’s a funny, clever, old timer with a good heart. He enjoys making people smile and laugh. Loves and appreciates his fans. The brother looks great at 80. Great interview Gents.

I am enjoying Ollie taking the lead and doing these interviews more and more, (he gets so much out of people it is insane) almost as much as Josh enjoys just showing up and eating food lol
  • @akirebara
Danny Trejo is the real deal. He gives back to the community as much as he can and also still goes to AA local meetings in LA. I get so happy remembering that this man was given a second, third, 4th, 5th chance in life.
  • 8:18 “Everything good that’s ever happened to me, happened as a direct result of helping someone else.” I cried. The basic things I teach my kids, my students and my Girl Scouts, this is of upmost importance. Help others, and good things will come along ❤ Ollie, you shine in this interview 🤩 fantastic! Just added his book to my list

A friend saw Danny years ago at a diner (Denny's?) in San Fernando with his family and his mom before she passed and said he was just a genuinely nice guy. He went around saying hello to people and took pictures with them. You could tell he is thankful for his life and he shares that gratitude with others by being the best human he can be.
  • @space---kid
I see the thumbnail. I see Danny Trejo. I click and watch the video.
  • why am I more surprised by you guys interviewing Danny Trejo than when you interviewed David Beckham, Benedict Cumberbatch, Chris Hemsworth, etc??!?! An absolute legend!!!
  • @rtyrsson
That was very enlightening. The meanest, roughest, nastiest guy in Hollywood is actually a pretty nice guy that is saving lives left and right in drug and alcohol counseling. Who knew? His movies may not be my cup of tea, but a definitive success story if I've ever seen one. Very inspiring.
