Thanks as always for organising an interview and how great its Princeton wheels focussed. There is so little online for honest reviews. Separately though I agree with you, I’m building up an Sworks and I wouldn’t ever take it out less than 20kph. I’d take my older steel rim brake bike for the the chill sunny rides 😊

Aliexress wheels are very good and a lot of them are the same as the big companies 300$ for a pair of carbon clinchers I can’t complain
  • I just ordered a Lightbicycle Falcon Pro 565 with DTSWISS 180, flyweight and Carbon spokes. Reason because I like the zipp454 for its sawtooth design, but hate the loud and flashy logo and dark grey colour. I also like the princeton but they are too thick, heavy and ugly. Bora WTO ultra is my next choice because I like how it looks. So For around $3k SGD spent on the falcon, I’m getting a deep aerowheel with saw tooth design + the same shine as bora ultra + customised according to my liking. Weights only 1370g. I have come to realise that almost all carbon wheels especially those expensive ones like Princeton, is manufactured from China (obviously cannot be germany or Italy). You are basically paying for - Their own hub design - Their marketing - Warranty cost (incase send new wheel) - Labour cost And every other testing and etc cost.
  • I think any bike shop should allow us to try their test wheelsets (if any) before we made a decision. If not, we gonna regrets/not satisfied with our purchased later.

As long as my pair of wheels don't blow itself up, we're gooood 💪
  • @ariffau
Hey Oompa. Sad to hear you don’t have as much time to ride. It’s a lovely Venge V3. Hope it stops collecting dust. I’d ride it as much as I can if I were you. Right now it’s been superseded by the SL7. Sooner or later it’s gonna be a couple generations old. What I’m saying is, go out there and ride it before more newer models supersede it. Hahaha
  • I ride very slow on days I just want to enjoy the ride. Having both super cheap bike with mismatch parts and high end custom built ti bike with massive aero wheelsets, I really don't care about the snobs snobbing me on my trash bike or going slow on the titanium bike. Those snobs are not the ones that dictates how I ride, what I wear or how much watts I should be doing. I like to ride and when passing by other riders to say hi and good morning or afternoon. There are alot of very strong riders in my area that can destroy me in seconds but they all are very mellow when they're doing zone 1 or zone 2 rides. You can easily tell a strong rider just by how they pedal and the way they handle the bike in turns and hills.
  • spin classes do help for mtb riding haha How about the new Cadex 50?
  • @ariffau
Am I the only one who thinks the “P” in a circle is very similar to Peak Torque’s logo? 😂
  • @dffxyz
2 questions: Isn't just lighter wheels is better for climbing and Deeper wheels/wider profile better for holding speed? Is it "Pai-relli" or "pee-relli"?
  • That's why I bought a matt black PCW Dual 5550. So that slow rider like me don't have to feel malu. Haha🤣
  • Just because the shape of a carbon wheel looks the same does not mean they perform similarly. The layup of the carbon makes a world of difference. I think people miss the point when they compare just the aesthetics of the wheel rim e.g the pattern or the depth. The carbon layup is what gives the wheels its rigidity, compliance, stiffness etc
  • @81antiloop
Got power / watts to benchmark ? Don't have it's all placebo
  • @YKGLIM
Tactic hub will be lighter by 100g.
  • @alostgeordie
Haha not sure what he meant when he say he want a wheel for “forward speed”, who need wheels for backward speed! Kidding… lucky guy to get a pair of wheels to try out!
  • @fuselee6891
The zipp 454 does a better job then the wake 6560 in term of wave design
  • @melkadyo
"why can't i just do a "santai" ride?" - to answer your question. bro, why are you spending at least 5k usd for wheels that you won't utilize what it's used for? i know to each his own and you can afford it, but riding it 20kph doesn't do the wheels justice but just flexing your purchasing power.
  • @brandonkuay
Big Brand and expensive wheels diminishing returns just save your money. Enjoy cycling in different countries with money. 😊
  • @jamesong2672
Does anyone with expensive or cheap carbon wheels choose which road they take? Do you tell your friends in a group ride to avoid any route because your wheels cannot handle rough condition road? 😅😂
