“Don’t lowball the seller” Asks for 50% of the price
  • Frank probably realized that he wasn't gonna sell the car soon and took whatever he could get for it at that point because Chris was probably the most serious buyer
  • @mikeepperson792
“Gonna do a hard braking test and try to lock the ABS” Frank jolts foward

Best strategies while buying a used car: - Talk to a camera while negotiating and pretend to be a YouTuber
  • "I can't go above 2000, my final offer is 1900" lmao
  • @curtiscleary790
"I've had my fair share of people looking at this car, i've got some weirdos" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Frank was very patient and never at any point sounded like he had anything to hide. He's a Class A guy letting you do this on video. And THANK YOU for these important tips!
  • Frank should have watched this video before trying to sell his car
  • Dude, not accepting seller's counter-offer of $2100 was petty on your part. Your top offer was $2000. So, what's $100?. The seller, Frank, was gracious enough to allow you to video the buying process for your viewers and your channel, the least you could have done was to repay his kindness by throwing-in the extra $100 he asked for. Just sayin.

I know you're a businessman but damn man you could've let him slide with the 2k.
  • “Got some weirdos” he’s talking about you narrating everything you do😂😂

As a new driver this vid gave me so much anxiety because it made me realize I don't know sh*t about cars lol
  • I've learnt a lot of this from growing up driving only used cars and my father, but there is definitely a handful of things I specifically learned outside of that which is covered here. Thank you very much for the video. <3

I have been using this video series to help my son find a good cash car. It has been super valuable, great time spent with my son instructing him on the process and helping him feel comfortable taking his time and not jumping at the first thing that he looks at. My takeaways in order: 1. The process of determining the value of a car PRIOR to seeing the car might the best part of this series. 2. Finding all the things that are wrong, and determining if they are more trouble than they are worth. If not, factor the repairs into the negotiation. Seems obvious, but I didn't do that in the past. 3. Knowing what you are willing to spend, and walking away if you cannot agree on that price. I had one observation of the ChrisFix checklist. I didn't see a place to write the mileage. Maybe I missed it. But having that recorded prior to seeing the car was helpful in one case where the car's mileage was meaningfully different from the listing (around 12,000 mi different). I don't know that I would have noticed otherwise. We haven't found the right deal yet, but thanks to this series, we feel like "pros," which gives us confidence.

Chris: grabs a bag of chips Store: that would be $1.99 Chris: I’ll give you .50 cents and that’s my final offer
  • @CirrusLK
"i'm really firm at $1900" AHH I FEEL SO UNCOMFORTABLE, POOR FRANK.

Chris, I love your posts. One additional item to add to your inspection check list. Run you finger up as far as you can to feel for excessive “dirt”. Excess dirt is alway found in flooded vehicles. Owners can clean up a flooded car everywhere except up behind and around the instrument panel. Hope this helps.
  • I know this is an older video, but I wanted to thank you for all your videos in this little used jaguar buying series. I used your car check list for inspecting and test driving a used car I was interested and it really helped me with making my decision! Lots of content I found was not as helpful as yours, thanks again!
