That banana heart (purple color,we call it as the banana heart) got small flower,take off those 'needle'or stem inside it you can cook (as vege) Lots of fibre and taste 👍

Several years ago, I grew over 100 banana plants from around the world. Funny thing was that I grew them in the Mojave desert. Most were edible varieties and cultivars, but some were ornamental species from seeds. It was challenging and I had them on a drip system. If I had the money, (which I don’t) I’d love to grow them again here in TN. Maybe in heaven…
