There’s like a million dollars worth of guitars in this video 😂😂😂
  • First time hearing a Martin [in person] was an “oh sh!t” moment for me. Very first chord on a D-28 filled the entire room with so much balance and clarity… I’m a teacher, so it will be a longgggg time before that guitar finds its way in my budget. But I will have one before I die. For sure, D-28 is now my number one dream guitar.

I went into a store thinking I was going to leave with a Taylor. But the Martin 000Jr (10E) felt amazing in my hands and it had such a rich sound for a small guitar. It's amazing

I bought my dad a D-41 for his 70th birthday. His first ever, and now I am hooked on wanting one next. The family history is a plus, as was meeting Chris Martin (former CEO of the company) in person recently. Much more than just a guitar, more like a lifelong piece of history and art.

I own a Martin D-28 and I consider it my dream guitar. No matter how I'm playing it never lets me down. If something sounds less than good or great it's definitely not the guitar's fault. Mine is one of the Reimagined models from 2018. If you look up the artists through the years who have played a D-28 the list goes on and on. It's one of the most iconic models in the history of Martin guitars. Thanks for the interesting video.
  • Growing up a Neil Young fan, a Martin is just THE acoustic sound.
  • I recently purchased a Martin 000-42. Such a sweet sound and effortless to play. I totally get why they hold so much magic for players. I love all my guitars but, if I could only keep one, there just wouldn't be any contest, it would be my Martin.
  • I have been drawn to the sound of D-18's the last few years. They have a nice, clear sound to me and no muddiness.
  • So I mean this in the most respectful way!! I really support you and your channel! Not because you’re a guitar virtuoso and showing off your skills but because you seem like a normal dude that’s showing everyone if you want you can pick up the guitar, make music and have fun!! You are obviously talented I’m just saying it means more to me than just someone showing off how good they are!! Rock on!!
  • I own the sc-13e special and I just love every minute with that guitar, it just inspires you to pick it up and after playing it you realize that most other acoustics feel super wide in the neck, but that is all about personal preference.

I bought my D-28 in college and it's still my workhorse. Nothing sounds quite like it. Love your playing! This has been a great video to watch.

I own a HD28 and I play bluegrass and folk/singer songwriter type tunes on it, 100% flatpicked. Amazing is an understatement to describe it with 13 gauge strings and a blue chip pick.
  • @Eeuwit
I own a Martin LX1E, also known as the "Little Martin". It doesn't sound as great as its bigger bothers, but the size makes it perfect for travel. I have played it in so many places where I'd never have taken a full size guitar.

In 2008 I got my first job after grad school and I had always wanted a Gibson J-45. I was playing an ancient Epiphone at the time and I decided to treat myself. I could never find a J-45 I liked and the salesman in the shop gave me a D28 to try. It was perfect, bought it the next day. Still have it, never selling. If I were to get another Martin it would be that 000-15M. My dream guitar would be the 1937 D28 Authentic I suppose.

Dude that was way cool. My first Martin was a DC16GT-R and that Indian Rosewood back and sides really makes it sing. Still own it after 15 years. Before he died my dad gave me his D-17 which is aged and sounds so beautifully warm. I bought my daughter a sub $1,000 Martin where they're using some compressed woods and it still sings. Now I rounded out my collection with a Taylor 814CE which is just an insane dream. That one seems to bring the best of Martin and Taylor sounds together. But I won't ever sell any of them b/c they all have their place. Great video and you're way talented on the fret board!
  • I just purchased my first Martin, it’s the SC-13e special. I had my first lesson Wednesday and I’m completely in love with and so proud of it.
  • I’m not a guitarist but both my wife and son are. She has a 1989 J-40 rosewood that has Martin low end for days. Plays it all the time as a worship leader. She just gave her 1971 000-18 to our son to use in his Nashville recording studio. She bought it new for $300 in 1972. He has an all mahogany 00-15. We just saw a gorgeous GPCe-28 with Baggs Anthem in a shop near us and we’re deeply tempted by her “next” dream guitar. . . but $3300 short on cash. Definitely a Martin family.

I envy you being in that room with all the Martin guitars. I have a 15SM and the 15M that you demoed. I particularly like the sound of Mahogany as its dry and woody especially when picked aggresively. It's great for recording too. Would wanna try that 0-18 parlor. Looks and sounds great.
  • @thefilmpoets
My father-in-law passed away from Covid. He left me his prized D-28 which was bought used and setup by some unknown master. The action is lower than my Les Paul and the guitar rings like a bell. I never thought I'd be getting the guitar this early, but it's so special.
  • @Funkybassuk
I liked that “every song I’ve ever written” tune. You should develop that. I think my dream Martin is a 0-15 in all mahogany.
