Hey! I was active duty for 14 years and a single mom of two (at the time). I am a civilian (married to a veteran) as of 2016 and have been throughly enjoying spending time with my kids and going to school since getting out. The transition was difficult but eventually I got into the swing of things. Love the cleaning videos and the motivation you give!

As we have aged(mom is 92…my siblings and I are in late 60-70s)…we cook and eat chicken/dressing and all the sides for Thanksgiving. For Christmas, now that our kids and grands are scattered all over the south, and many here have to work if we have gathering during week, we fix dips, chips, Marie Calendar pies, I fixed big potato salad, sliders, and KFC!!! We graze all day or whenever they can make it to Mom’s. Mom has dementia and is immobile, but she had a great time. We’d rather visit than work in kitchen all day. This all works for us! When my children were at home and we opened gifts, I brought a big plastic bag in the room and as they opened gifts the paper went in the bag! No mess afterward!

Brilliant cleaning motivation, and full of encouragement to get started putting everything back to normal. My kitchen always looks like a bomb has gone off 😂 preparing and cooking Christmas dinner. The menu in my house is roast beef, roast pork, leg of lamb, 3 bird roast and roast turkey crown that's for the meat eaters, for the vegans it's sweet potato and red cabbage log and mushroom wellington. For veg it's roast potatoes, brussel sprouts, cauliflower, spinach, carrots and last but not least stuffing and yorkshire pudding. It's hard work, but worth it. Hi Becka I watch you and Ashley both. You can tell everyone had a good time by the mess. Glad you had family in town. We get together with our kids spouses etc on Christmas Eve and we serve prime rib, some kind of potato and a winterberry salad with homemade poppy seed dressing and Christmas cookies and then we open gifts. Wonderful time of year. Thank you for being an inspiration.

I have a 16 yr. old. I get him to unload the dishwasher before he leaves for school. It makes it quicker to clean up the kitchen, plus it's one of his chores. 😁

Hey Becka, in South Africa we are in mid-Summer, but fortunately we had a cooler day on Christmas day. My mom cooked a small ham (it was just three of us), as well as a pork belly in the air fryer. The sides we had with that was roast potatoes, broccoli salad and three bean salad. And then for dessert a traditional English trifle and a banana/caramel fridge tart which is a recipe of my late Gran. Thank you for the very real cleaning video. The dishes are the pits, especially with a big cook and it felt like all I did the whole Christmas weekend was prep, cook and wash dishes (obviously like your video shows, not everything can go in the dishwasher). wow. you got a lot of things done! I just got back from a weekend trip and so many things to put away. I got motivated to complete it despite being tired after watching your video. Awesome! :)

I'm irish so we usually have Turkey, ham but I cook the ham but in the last 10 mins I take it out and we put honey glaze on top then put it back in the oven for the last 10 mins (the ham I buy comes in a cook in bag for the oven), then we have Brussels sprouts, carrots, turnips and a side with carrots and turnips mashed together, cauliflower, brocoli, mushy peas, mash potatoes (with plenty butter in it), roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and gravy to top it off. Desert is usually, warm mince pies with custard and cream, banoffee pie and pavlova 😁

Thoroughly enjoyed your video. Really needed the motivation to get going!! We are from South Africa…really hot this time of year. Spend the day with family and had a lovely meal consisting of leg of lamb, roasted potatoes and butternut served with yellow rice and gravy as well as some beer bread. Dessert was a selection of jelly and ice cream, hazelnut & honeycomb chocolate log, peppermint tart and sticky toffee pudding. Have a wonderful and blessed day 🌸🌸
