When I was depressed I bought alot of stuff. It took me 8 years to part with my stuff, most items never used. It's a struggle to find happiness.

Donating to a homeless shelter would be a great start and a blessing to others

I am older so I am downsizing and therefore donating. A lot of the things still have the price tags on them. A person just doesn’t need so much stuff.

I wish my closet was this big, I have to switch my clothes out by season

The closet does look a lot better however just a little food for thought. It might have been better to organize the hanging clothes by color that way it's easier to find the red top in the red section as opposed to looking all around seeing red everywhere. Another tip its good to invest in velvet hangers. (Target 25 for $10) Your clothes keep their shape better than wire hangers and plastic which leaves bumps or imprints in you clothes especially knit items.

Donating a quarter of those shoes and clothes would make a difference

She's a shopper, that's for sure! 😉 Nice organizing though! Just a thought...as I've grown older, I feel so much peace in not being the consumer I was in my 20s. Looking back, I wish I would NOT have bought so much "stuff." I could have saved so much money for my later years in retirement. I could have a brand new car now, decades later (single parent on a public school teacher's salary). I also want to help the environment and not leave such a big footprint of pollution now. I own 3 purses. That's it--a fancy elegant one, a daily-use one, and a cool leather Boho one. I own 3 pairs of boots, 1 pair of sneakers, 2 beachy flip flops, 1 nice pair of dressy sandals, 2 pairs of house slip-ons, 1 pair of fancy black high heels, and 1 pair of black ballerina flats suitable for many occasions. I have enough. If I ever need special shoes for a wedding or something, I figure I can get them as needed, but no more buying on a whim and having 100 shoes I never wear (the much younger me--LOL). But that's just me nowadays. I'd rather spend my money in other ways now...not on acquiring things I don't really need. But definitely am not knocking others' lifestyles. To each her own.🌺😁👍🏾🌺

Tip for your boots: to keep their shape, try dollar tree pool noodles. Use a bread knife to cut them to perfect size. It will keep your boots in good shape and minimize the creasing. Stay safe and be blessed 🙂

I confess I was in the 300+ shoe game. Now I’m in the under 10 pair of shoes. We all evolve and eventually dissolve. You’re a wonderful friend. 😁😉

It is more fun to help someone else organize than to do our own closets (alone)!

I almost stopped watching. It was overwhelming how much stuff she had. Been there before but now I keep it simple. Perhaps she’ll decide that one day, or not! But good for her for getting organized! Great job!

My minimalist mind is blowing at how much clothes, shoes, purses etc. she has! 🤯 I could never, but if she’s happy that’s all that matters!! Great job!!

I read something recently and watching this reminded me. “All that stuff used to be money.” I have been guilty of over-shopping but that plays in my mind if I see something I want rather than need. Good job!

I love that you were more focused on making it functional for the client, than making it "asthetic". The end result was still beautiful. But like for example the purse you made it visible for the client instead of just making it look pretty. I hope im making sense. Lol

I could not be bothered to change my handbag (purse) all those many times.😹
