Some fireworks stands sell fuse. I would suggest using to normal slow burning fuse. That way you don’t have to worry about teaming your sparkler fuse.

do you think it's necessary to have the central sparkler pulled out for the wick for it to work rather than any other one like one on the side which make the job easier? i know we want a central burn but this stuff is so flammable im not sure it really matters which sparkler start the process

trying to understand why metal or bamboo stick ones wont work? btw i got another idea now, im thinking instead of working hard using tape why not get a bunch of sparklers and even cut them in half if it helps make more and that way i can fit them all (pack them) radially into a plastic prescription pill container instead of using the match heads like i mentioned to you in another comment which also take too long and costs more money ,then simply drill a hole in the cap and insert the central sparkler wick through it and cap closed and just use a bit of glue or tape on the outside of the cap to seal it or maybe that might not even be necessary, ill def gonna experiment now and maybe even grind the sparking material off the sticks to fill into the container, awesome i got work to do now lol

wont this work with other types or just regular sparklers? anyways you are probably the only vid ive seen so far on homemade crackers,bombs etc that thought of using the sparkler as a wick because i also had the idea to do that only mine is a bunch of match stick heads filled into a plastic container of prescription medical pills(the kind you get from the drug store) which has the twist on cap and another plastic seal on the inside of the cap so im thinking of drilling a hole in the center of the cap to insert a piece of sparkler as the wick ,i will glue both ends where the sparkler goes through to make a better seal hoping also that the heat from the sparkler will melt behind the plastic parts to keep the seal and once the cap is on i will also glue all around the circumference of the cap on the outside of the container to have a full air tight seal, so do you think that will go off as a bang or fizz like a rocket instead? im thinking of making two one will go in a steel tube to be lit upside down to see if it shoots off like a rocket in case the first one does not blow up and simply fizzes ,perhaps i should tape it up many times but im thinking the plastic container ought to be enough to give it a bang

Back in the 1980s,we would go to the local hardware store purchase plumbing pipe,then a different one and get the screw on end caps for tight seal.First ...all you would need is a drill and a bit the same size as the stem on a sparkler drilling a hole in the mid section of the pipe.Then get yourself a few large boxes of wooden kitchen ready matches.Cut the heads of the matches so all is sulfer.You can nowe put one cap on and start filling the pipe with all those match heads.Once packed in firmly screw on the other cap to enclose the charge,insert the sparkler into the pre drilled hole.Be very careful when lighting sparkler the run away fast.This is a very dangerous devise.You will hear,depending how large the pipe is;I usually used shorter lengths with an inside about 3 inches and a length of maybe ten inches.when this goes off you will know it and feel it.Again..I havent made one in years but i do know how dangerous these are.Light the fuse , run for your life and get far enough away so your not in blast zone.Iron pipe is brittle and will send shrapnel depending on how well the charge is seated could be alot or all you find is a crater.Be careful if you make.I actually would advise against making them;they will kill just like a grenade.

ever thought of cutting those 8 sticks in half? will be a smaller size but might possibly give a louder bang as it increases the tnt sticks radially instead of longitudinal ,also decreases amount of tape to use id think(unless my math is wrong) give it a try see what happens

Do you know if showtime sparklers use the same chemical?

Dont seal the top.....keep it open so air can get to the flames....i use metal ones and they go 💥 boom!!!
