Note: I should have made it clearer that this also impacted getting suggested views down the side of other videos and recommended a lot more too, it wasn't just the homepage ✅ WATCH ME NEXT - IT'LL STOP YOU MAKING THE BIG MISTAKES I DID! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv6UF1uguM4&t ✅ I DELETED THIS APP AND IT HELPED MY YOUTUBE GAME A TONNE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFUzELL_NxY ✅ THIS IS HOW YOU'LL GET MORE VIEWS OVER NIGHT https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OaRLap_D07I&t ✅ THE REASON I DELETED MY VIDEOS AND MY ORIGINAL PLAN https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rv6UF1uguM4&t

I've spent a lot of time on YouTube and NO ONE is creating content as valuable as this with respect to youtube growth. You're smashing it Ed, thank you 🌿
  • @TemiDansoArt
I’m one of the new subscribers that binged your content!
  • @BassFishingHQ
Just gave you a standing ovation at my desk...by myself! I noticed when you started promoting one video at the end of your videos a while back, so I started doing it too and have also seen the results you mentioned! I really appreciate your content!
  • @basedott
I appreciate how u dig into and analyze the numbers. You looked at the analytics available and came up with your very own hypothesis. Big congrats on taking the leap to test out your theories - it shows that you're much more dedicated and thoughtful than most creators out there
  • @Elementar
One of the best videos on youtube strategy and analytics that i've watched this year, probably in the last few years..
  • @gorgeousmovies
Been looking forward to this video, worth the wait 👍😀
  • @JthaEngineer
I remember looking for an old video on the channel before realizing you unlisted it. But the growth you’ve had since then has been amazing to see from the outside. Thank you for sharing!
  • @HunnersDesigns
So good! The other thing worth noting that is insanely successful about your channel is the COMMUNITY you've started amongst everyone watching. Everyone subbed genuinely LOVES you and your content and it makes us do things like binge your channel and comment and vote on polls etc. (I normally don't comment on a lot of channels but with yours, it almost feels like leaving a comment is the SMALLEST thing I can do as a sense of gratitude for all the value you just gave me! and everyone else in the comments are pretty cool too! Love it here.)
  • Do you recommend doing this for shorts too? I do a lot of shorts and only 30% of them come from the home page, more than 50% comes from the Shorts Shelf where end screens would not be there but I could leave a link in the description.

One of the issues with using "search terms" or "searchable titles" is that people typically won't subscribe after getting the information they're looking for. By transforming a "search topic" into a title that makes them want to know what the video is about, you can get them to watch that video & if it's done well, they're more likely, as you said, to want more & potentially binge your content & subscribe. Great video as always, challenging the status quo with actual data & great information!

Thanks a lot for this video, the change in strategy from “search” to “homepage” views is something I never considered. I always made “search” video thumbnails and titles. I realize now that 1 video I made in the past was “homepage” oriented and that one indeed also has a lot more clicks like that. Will be trying this strategy out - thanks again! đŸ™ŒđŸŒ
  • @TaylorDanley
I think a big reason you’re so successful is your videos deliver huge value while maintaining a high level of entertainment. You’ve DEFINITELY helped me out a lot, and I can’t wait to try this out next. THANK YOU 🙏
  • @TheRealFloc
I have been watching for a long time now! You definitely deserve what you have gained thus far! All the hard work and risks paid off. I know for sure a lot of creators, including myself, look at creating content in a much different light now. Congrats bro đŸ‘ŠđŸŒ
  • This is honestly one of the most insightful videos I’ve seen. I have one video on my channel that blew up, and I couldn’t figure out why until today when I looked that the “average views per viewer” metric and saw that it had the highest out of all my videos. Thanks again for the amazing content!
  • I love how your channel is all about growing on youtube, how to get people to click on your videos, how to get longer session times etc. And it actually works because I binge watch your videos, you pop up on my suggested page (that's how I found you btw, just a few days ago), I click on your videos from the browse page. I keep coming back to your channel and watch your videos on repeat and take notes at the same time. Out of the all "youtube gurus" on youtube, you are the only one that actually has really helpful vides. Keep on with the good work.
  • Wow, the topics you pick are always so relevant to me. I had actually been considering deleting some of my earlier, poorer quality videos even though they bring my channel the most traffic because they simply don’t match with the new direction I want to take my channel. I really appreciate you taking the time to make these videos! Cheers.
  • @YolandaCalvo
I am one of those that binge your content, and also share the links of your videos 😂. Great job Ed, great teaching. Congrats. ♄
  • @zreplaysguides
I swear Ed, you've gotta be my no. 1 favourite YT coach. And yes, can confirm that videos that cause readers to ask questions do well. My highest CTR vids (12% to 15%) have very "oh my god, what could this possibly be?"-style titles. Of course, I'm still yet to try this but, fingers crossed.
  • @Sticks
Thanks for pioneering this strategy for us! I know you’re learning from others but you’ve made it your own for sure đŸ‘đŸŒ
