I’m left eyed dominant and right handed. I still struggle with this. I see two images all the time and I just needed to train myself on which one to look at. It’s become easier the more I practice, but still have a long way to go. Best thing you can do is dry fire and practice a lot.

I always shoot with Both eyes close

Adrenaline forces both eyes to stay open during a dangerous situation. Last thing you want to see is two images of the target and not know which one to acquire. Great video.
  • Definitely one of the best tricks I’ve seen not lying. I’ve been trying to teach myself how to shoot with both eyes open after I got my pistol and cpl and this helped a lot. Thank you!

Trained this way, sustained detached retina during injury. After surgery, became opposite eye dominant. Training and Mother Nature prevailed. Still had Master marksman ranking.

This is very practical. I've had plenty of threat encounters involving more than one bad guy. You want to be able to scan and keep an eye on the most pressing threat.

This was awesome! Picked up on it right away with the thumb technique. Ran straight to my pistol and sighted up on the first try! Thanks man! God bless.

Brilliant content. To the point, simple for someone who has no formal training like me to comprehend and implement, no fluff. I was going to subscribe but I saw that I already was subscribed.

Here’s where I struggle. Initial target acquisition with both eyes open is generally clear. Follow up shots are terrible, unless I drop my firearm and re-acquire the target. Maybe my eyes are having trouble transitioning from front sight to target, then back to from sight. I now also wear corrective lenses with is a big change.
