EDIT: As of 2024, the launcher has been redesigned and no longer looks the way it did in this video. Despite that, the method of loading characters is more or less the same, so unless people REALLY want me to make an updated tutorial just to show the new launcher, I don't think it's necessary at all.

question, can you create a separate folder for custom characters? I have so many songs they just get lost in there and it hard to find them

Do I need the SDK to edit band members? Because I have GHWTDE without the SDK but not because I didn't want to put it, but because it doesn't work on my computer. Mods with custom characters and custom songs work. I don't have the updated version of the game, because I no longer updated the game from the Guitar Hero World Tour Definitive Edition site. To change band members with custom character mods where can I find the program to change band members and what is it called? Does it go without the SDK?

My launcher doesn't look like this. Maybe that's why I can't get Metallica to work right. I have no option to pick a preferred band so all I can do is set each instrument to a preferred character, but doing so makes it so James only holds a mic and no guitar. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy a 360 just to play GHM again but it looks like I might have to with how difficult this mod is to set up.
