Here's a video comparison of two Santa Cruz Guitars H-13 Custom available at bluedogguitars.com/

#1 - Santa Cruz Guitars H-13 Custom in Mahogany/Adirondack Spruce, with the Nick Lucas-style fretboard inlay, a gorgeous Sunburst top, the K&K Pure Mini Pick-up already installed, and the Bluedog 'Howling Wolf' Scrimshaw Heelcap.

#2 - Santa Cruz Guitars H-13 Decco Custom is in East Indian Rosewood with a Redwood top, the 'Cowboy Singer' Sunburst, Cowboy Rope rosette and purfling, the Decco Inlay and the exclusive Bluedog 'Howling Wolf' Scrimshaw Heel Cap.

Thanks to the talented Adam Dobres for the video demo!

SCGC’s concept for the H-13 is to achieve power beyond what would be expected in a small-bodied guitar. Two fundamental lutherie tricks make this possible: a longer string length (more downward pressure at the saddle) and more air space via a deeper body (increased volume and bass response). To place the bridge in the optimal position for power and maintain the longer string length, the neck needs to join the body at the 13th fret. The H-13 is a gorgeous classic with power and presence expected from a much larger instrument. Perfect for aggressive finger-style blues and vocal accompaniment, the H-13 feels really sweet to hold.

Wow!! 2 incredible guitars played by an incredible player! Same model and yet just so different in tone to each other. The Rosewood/Redwood is louder, snappier, more defined from bass to treble I think , amazing guitar, yet I think the Mahogany/Adirondack seems a little sweeter, warmer and more balanced across the tonal range. Both stunning guitars played by a true virtuoso musician. Wow!!!
