30 Minutes Workout - Virtual Scenery - Treadmill / Exercise Machine (Cotswolds UK) 1080/60fps

Published 2016-06-28
Treadmill? Exercise bike? Cross trainer? Rowing machine? Flying carpet? Beat the boredom with a virtual tour around the picturesque Hobbit Shires of Gloucester and the Cotswolds, while you work out for a full 30 minutes. SEE NOTES BELOW REGARDING SPEED...
The music was made by me and I acknowledge not to everyone's tastes, so do feel free to mute and use your own music :o)
(Best enjoyed at full 1080p @ 60 frames per second)

SPEED NOTES: I've had some feedback comments regarding the speed of the video not being "realistic" and not accurately representing running or walking. Before publishing, I experimented creating the video at various jogging or cycling speeds, but found with the slower speeds, the visuals got tedious very quickly.

In the end I settled for real-time driving speed which provides sufficient changes of scenery to keep the visuals interesting, bearing in mind most people will be using this video as a distraction from the tedium of exercise anyway. The faster speed also allows you to see much more of the area than you would do at slower speeds. :o)

My workout this morning. This 80 year old doesn't feel so hemmed in due to the current virus situation, with videos like this. Thanks.
  • As a 70 year old, I like these videos when on my exercise bike, but I do find the music distracting. What I do is, to replace the music with real bird song and other country background sounds. This makes it a more realistic ride through the country. Thanks

On the 15th passing anniversary of my lovely British husband, I am on my treadmill sharing this run through the Cotswolds with his spirit since we never experienced it, together. I miss him like the sun...Miss you, Philip...
  • I love this! I'm a 70 year old grandma and during my younger days, running has helped me a lot. In 2007, I joined the Annual Army 10 Miler Run in Washinton DC where I used to work. I was 58 years old. I finished the run in 2 hours 44 minutes. Now at my age, I only hit my treadmill with your video to keep me healthy. Awesome!! Thanks a lot!

Fighting off depression by trying to just get out of bed - this had the perfect amount of trees and beautiful countryside to make getting on my stationary bike actually worthwhile. Thank you SO MUCH for this. It's going to be a delightful habit... and I'm going to make it one by blogging about it. :) At first the speed felt a little hectic but then I made an effort to just enjoy it for what it was, and it turned out to be quite nice. Thank you again - now my brain is woken up enough to start studying for the day! :)

I walk on my treadmill using this music. I have been listening to this music for a long time. Thank you for the video.
  • Your virtual scene is amazing!! This is the first time I've been able to run/walk on my treadmill for full 30 mins w/out watching the clock every 5 mins. This will be my new inspiration video. Thanks!
  • Thanks God, at 72, I’m still running on my treadmill, 3 times a week, with the help of Rickvanman’s 30 minute video. Way to go!!

My first time workout using this video. My husband bought us a simple easy exercise bike and I am just beginning. I enjoyed this video with beautiful scenery and music. It allows me to go at my own speed and intensity. I will be 69 this week and am looking forward to going the distance with this workout.

Really helpful video. Normal I quit after 15 minutes of so, but your video pushed me to me 30 minute goal. It really fooled my mind into wanting to see what's around the next corner. You are helping regular people. Thank you 😊

Perfect for riding indoors over winter!! Thank you so much for keeping my legs moving whilst sightseeing! 🥰
  • I am almost 60 years old. I really like the video, the speed and I love the music. Maybe it's like flying🤗🤗

This is perfect! I can't stand slow videos where you feel like you're getting nowhere-fast. I like an intense bike ride. Thanks so much!

I first saw this three summers ago and always remembered it. It is one of the most beautiful cycle rides I have seen online.
  • I bought a roller to bike in my house due to the COVID 19 quarantine I live in Colombia and I am fascinated by this video because it is recorded in England, one of my dreams has been to ride a bike in London because it was what I liked the most when I met him and with this video I feel like I do, I love it. Thank you
  • This is where I started nearly two years ago!😍 I can't thank you enough Rick for starting me off on a wonderful journey. I just finished a two hour virtual bike ride across the alps and before that I did a 6 hour ride along the Autobahm. But this will always be special. This was where I broke in my body. This made everything else possible. 🤗
