Femke is such a class act. She seeked no excuses and was so honest about her poor performance. Huge respect for her character.

Three incredibly articulate professionals. I especially appreciated Femke Bol's gracious self reflection on what was clearly a disappointing race for her.

femke showed grace and sportsmanship through this interview. she was definitely disappointed (crying on the track with her family), but pulled herself together to answer questions and be happy for the winners. definitely happy for all 3 and wish for the best for their careers

What I love about this is that there is no bravado or strutting as there is for some other Olympic competitors. Just three women doing their best. Congratulations to all of you. And, yes, please exalt each other and potential newcomers to the mythic sub 50!

After seeing this press conference I'm a fan of Femke Bol but will always root for Sydney.
  • 3 classy ladies. Mutual respect. All very gracious. Well done girls 👏🏻
  • Femke Bol was well off her usual pace but she showed what a gracious selfless endearing role model she is. Well done to all 3 great athletes.
  • I watched Anna during several competitions in 21, and honestly, I wouldn't have believed she was going to survive psychologically. I am in awe of her growth and maturity. And her first sub 52.

Shout out to Femke. As a former track star athlete myself, I know the feeling of having expectations and then falling short at times. I commend her for giving a real straight forward answer. This really shows her emotional strength. Sydney is an all-time goat and the 400m & 200m are next! (My prediction) 🎉
