When i read any article say about some company, how do i know if it an official company pr vs unofficial newsworthy topic ?
-
Public relations is about building relationships, Advertising is about creating awareness, and Marketing is about driving sales.
-
You explained it soo wel😭😭😭what my professor wasn’t able to explain in 3 hours of a class and you just explained it 5 mins... thank you so much

Advertising is selling a product. Measured by volume of sales. Marketing is getting the product in front of public that needs/wants it. Measured in comparison to competitive product sales. (example 15% of market, 3rd place). Public relations is how the public feels about (trusts) the company that sells the product. This a factor that affects the other 2 indirectly. This requires public feedback to measure its effectiveness. (Web hits, surveys, responding to public and press inquiries). How did I do PR 101?

Am a communication and media practitioner. I hope everyone could understand your concept. Especially when it comes to generating revenue for a company, advertising is different from PR. Advertising is paid media, while Public Relations is Earned Media. Hope you can create a video educating how we make money in Pr Consulting. I shall share this video with my colleagues. Let's all get the difference. Also Kindly educate on Public relations and Thought Leadership and what thought leadership is. Thank you for your information.

Thank you so much for this video!! It helps me a lot as I'm a 2nd Year University student majoring in PR but also studying Marketing as my elective subject. I was confusing to differentiate between Marketing and PR, but after watching your video, you clearly explained the differences and easy to understand. I'm looking forward for the next video!!
