On Saturday, Prime Video revealed Minnie Driver as the voice of Oswalda Cobblepot, aka The Penguin, during the Batman: Caped Crusader panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The panel for the highly anticipated new animated series started with a video message from executive producer Bruce Timm who welcomed fans to the panel and kicked off the world premiere screening of the first episode, where Oswalda Cobblepot aka The Penguin was revealed for the first time. Following the screening, executive producer Matt Reeves and series voice cast: Hamish Linklater, Jamie Chung, and Minnie Driver had a lively conversation about the show and the roles they have in it.
 
The day before, Friday, July 26, Prime Video gave fans a sneak peek of the show by revealing an exclusive new clip from Batman: Caped Crusader at the end of their “Adapting Fan Favorites: A Conversation with Prime Video’s Adult Animation Creators” panel that also featured Invincible, Hazbin Hotel, The Legend of Vox Machina, and Sausage Party: Foodtopia.
 
Batman: Caped Crusader will be available to stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide beginning Thursday, August 1.
 
The series stars the ensemble cast of Hamish Linklater, Jamie Chung, Diedrich Bader, Christina Ricci, Minnie Driver, Mckenna Grace, Eric Morgan Stuart, Michelle C. Bonilla, Krystal Joy Brown, John DiMaggio, Paul Scheer, Reid Scott, Tom Kenny, Jason Watkins, Gary Anthony Williams, Dan Donohue, David Krumholtz, Haley Joel Osment and Toby Stephens.

  • As someone who use to watch Batman: The Animated Series as a kid, this look like really interesting. Also the voice for this Batman works really well for this not only this show but also the setting of the show. Having it set not only at the start of Batman's Career (like Year One and The Batman) but set in the 1940s really gives it a whole different feel than most other Batman Shows or Movies.

    Linklater does a great job with Batmans voice. Reminiscent of Conroy, bit still putting his own spin on it.
