After 8-year-old Alfie Fitzsimmons lost his dad to suicide in 2017, his mum Allison found that support for children bereaved by suicide was unavailable anywhere in the UK. They set up their much-needed peer support group, which gave children a safe place to be with friends. But now, after an overwhelming demand, Alfie’s Squad is about to reach all corners of the UK, as the mother and son duo launch their online support group later this month.

  • What a special boy he is, selfless and wise beyond his years. The work he has undertaken is so valuable towards supporting other children, who find themselves in the same heartbreaking situation. He deserves all the plaudits that he receives and he should be so very proud of himself.

  • I know at Least 3 men who have taken their own lives, and it was all due to parent alienation and not being able to see their children following a breakup. This urgently needs addressing. Children being used as weapons, and absent parents being pushed aside
