Ancient Egyptians were indigenous Africans, after all. She is not looking like modern Egyptians. She looks Somalian and Kenyan.

Idk. It's pretty natural for the mouth to rest open after death. Muscles relax..If it was a haphazard mummification, may never have been pulled to a close.

Fact, the ancient Egytians performed an opening mouth ceremony, so that the dead could speak in the Judgement Hall in the afterlife so their texts reveal. The "open mouth" depictions in artworks are found in many socities across the globe, for example the Greenman and Greenwoman, the laughing Bes or Buddha or open mouth Kali with long red tongue exposed, in artworks. In religious and other texts the idea of the "open mouth" is expressed in different ways, preaching, singing, talking, calling to prayers, the "joker/clown"...The entire culture of Ancient Egypt was an expression of cosmic symbolism. This woman was most likely an important singing priestess/wizard who may have died in this posture or sacrificed by killing her using a snake, so that she could ontinue with her trade in the afterlife. In some ancient socities sacrificing a person by the bite of a snake was common even for kings. In my free online publication, Akashic Records and Holy Grails, I discuss the significance of the "open mouth" and the celestial images which have inspired the "open mouth" rituals and traditions and other horrific cultural expressions which still continue in different disguised forms, yet inspired by the same ancient cosmology.

Mummys tend to scream a lot, usually accompanied by a flying projectile called a slipper, very common in Asia
