Great tips. I've been using my D750 for two years and didn't know most of these settings you describe. I see lots of articles and videos about "secrets" and "tricks," but rarely do they surprise me. You, on the other hand, really taught me something.

Best tutorial video I've seen all year on YouTube, thanks a lot mister.
  • Clear, concise, well delivered and to the point tips! Having invested in the D850, and struggled through the manuals 400+ pages, your explanatory videos are all first class, including the AF Fine tuning focus tips in another video! Many thanks! Cheers, Frederic in Montréal

Love No.2 - Assign 100% zoom to focus point on image review via the multi-selector centre button. invaluable time-saving tip....33 years as a Photographer and every day is a school day. Thanks Steve, great video by the way.

Way to go Steve! These are some awesome tips that I whipped my camera out for right when I saw this video! I upgraded about a year or so back from my D3200 to D7200 and missed changing my ISO with one hand. Absolutely loved this video! Thanks for putting this up on YouTube!

Hey Steve, although I've been a Canon shooter for years, I've been thinking about switching over to Nikon and recently picked up a D300s and I just wanted to say thanks for all the information you put out on a regular basis, as it's helped me immensely. Love the book, by the way!
  • So glad I found you!! I'm going back to basics after a 4 year slump and you are just what the doctor ordered. Thanks a ton for reminding me what a gorgeous toy I have to play with. You're a natural teacher. Thanks so much, Steve. Much obliged x x x
  • @EDCGadgets
Very practical tips! I actually had literally everything setup exactly like these. It's an huge time saver indeed, and makes working with my D750 a snap, it's really ergonomic. Tip 8 (for portrait shooters): set the spot meter hotkey to the Fn button. It's a really big help if you want perfectly exposed skin.
  • @DAANNNN1
Man that zoom trick alone makes this video worth watching. I've always hated having to push zoom multiple times to check sharpness. Thanks!
  • @SEARLY100
Awsome tips, I've recently changed from cannon to nikon and I was really missing some of these functions. So pleased to be able to implement them so easily through the custom settings. You're a life saver!
