I'm a Brit living in the USA. Trader Joe's is such a cool grocery store! The employees are so friendly, it's like they all took happy pills! Best grocery store ever!

I like how British kids cover their mouths when they speak while eating. Actually, they do it even when they aren't talking. Very polite and a bit dorky-adorable. Adorkable?

13:56 - Joe was indeed a real person! His name was Joe Coulombe and he founded Trader Joes in 1967. He sold the company to ALDI Nord in 1979 and continued to serve as CEO until his retirement in 1988. He passed away in 2020.

For those who don't know: Trader Joe's private labels many brands as Trader Joe's products. They partner with brands that a board of taste testers has tasted and scored and pick one brand for each snack/product. The brand they partner with also signs an NDA in the process so there is speculation as to what brand is what but no confirmation.

Yes Joe is Joe Coulumbe. He founded the chain in 1967. Not only is the food good and affordable but I love the tiki lounge theme they have and all of the employees are extra friendly and fun. They're required to take a break every 2 hours and they're paid well so that keeps them in good spirits.
