200 Meals for $160 | Budget Friendly Meals | Emergency Grocery Budget Meal Plan

This meal plan includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks for 2 FULL weeks. That’s 14 days of meals for around $160.

Some of these recipes take a little bit of time so it’s up to you if you’d like to spend a little more for the convenience of some ready-made substitutions.

I highly recommend looking for the least expensive grocery store near you, like Walmart or Aldi. I currently shop at Aldi, as it’s the cheapest option near me, but be sure to compare prices before shopping by using the stores’ app and searching for the products you need.

I can’t believe the amount of work you put into one video! Wow! And you’re a mom with littles! You’re my superhero, momma!! Thanks for all the great inspo!!
  • Aldi has become my main grocery. You can’t beat the prices & I love that I don’t have to check for food dyes.
  • Loved this video!! I’m going into hospital and trying to get a load of meals in the freezer for when I get home some really great ideas much love from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Wow! Great video. You made a ton of good looking meals. You are impressive, Laura.
  • When I was a kid my dad would make his version of "tuna casserole", which was boxed Mac n Cheese with a can of tuna and a can (or cooked frozen) English peas. I still make it this way on occasion! (I'm now 65 yrs old)😊

Love that you show homemade meals with directions as well as quick and easy dinners [ hotdogs w/ a can of baked beans, Ramen noodles ] . I think this is a more reasonable way of feeding a family, a couple or even one person since most of us lead busy lives, and do not have time to make everything from scratch.

You did a great job with both the haul and the food preparation. Thank you for sharing so many good kitchen tips.

9/9/23: oh how I so enjoyed watching your cooking and recipe ideas to make things from scratch. I think I am going to give my kids a book of recipe as a future gift when they can cook so that they will know how to make things from scratch. Many great grandparents recipe I wished I received cuz my grandma was an amazing cook. Thankfully my mom is great as well.

Wow, this food looks great. So many budget videos are pretty sparse. I would probably add a little more chicken and burger to a few, but great base recipes. Next time, try homemade noodles or dumplings. Easy and cheap, but most importantly, delicious.
  • @beyzzabrumma5429
In Romania we had paid al least $220 for all that food. 200g of butter cost $4,. 2lb of chicken breast is$8. And our medium sallary is $600😢😢😢

Aldi prices differ in different cities. You may find that the city/county next door is cheaper than yours! Gasoline, rent, too. The difference adds up. I learned the difference about groceries when i happened to shop at a Giant food that was between myself and my parents. The cost was a lot less than my neighborhood Giant for every item. I shop at Aldi and Walmart and only at Safeway and Giant for a loss leader (if they will sell it without having a minimum purchase of $25. I buy little meat. I instead keep to vegetables and lentils, beans, ric, pasta, potatoes, bread (or make my own bread). Thank you for the video!

Amazing job this an epic one you did amazing and a great budget. Yes i always say saving money requires work but so worth it this is a good one amaing food and full bellies .
  • I like to come to these types of videos to see price differences compared to my stores here in Alberta Canada and calculate what it would cost me (i do love these videos and give me great meal ideas, this is just for my enjoyment haha) so i dont have walmart, costcos etc near me and no Aldi in canada. These exact groceries would cost me $406.56 Canadian or about $296.14 in USD converted.

I’m so happy! I just found you. So many easy but tasty frugal recipes. I hit that subscription bell, will make a cup of coffee, and watch some of your other videos. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰
  • I have not seen hotdogs sold for .89 cents at any grocery store around me for over five years and a package of chicken thighs like that one is @ $18 to $22 where I live in Canada, the price of one whole chicken was $23.49 cents and a bag of potatoes was $7.99 the last time I went grocery shopping. Always grateful though that their is food on the shelves every week to buy.
