I love how the dark side of the force is indeed shown to be much more powerful and suitable for combat. It really makes it easy to see why it can become so addictive and seductive as Yoda said it is.

That was the most disrespectful disarm I've ever seen in my life. He literally pimp slapped the air, with the fucking head tilt just to make it clear how little effort it took.

Cal on the lightside: kills hundreds of Stormtroopers Cal on the darkside: kills hundreds of Stormtroopers while he is angry

I think this is actually a great representation of how they say the dark side gets you to your peak fast, but doesn't necessarily make you a better fighter. Can you imagine if you had this at the start of the game? Yeah, you'd fold enemies in your way easily, but you don't learn. You just do the same thing over and over, seduced by the ease of mashing your button, and when you come up against actual adversity that your button doesn't work on you're completely unprepared. If you let this completely control you wouldn't learn how to read attack patterns, or how to dodge properly or do good combos. And so when a foe who is your equal approaches, you're left dead in the water. This is also why the most powerful sith didn't rely solely on just spamming the easy dark side things.

Cal, the hell are you doing? You can't just jump from a hole in the ceiling and not say "Hello there"! Denvik was even playing his part!

I would like bode more if he had at least the slightest decency. Cal, even while despising Bode for getting Cere killed, didn’t want to fight in front of his kid. Bode on the other hand, force pushed and attacked Cal even while his own kid watched. He had no honor left from the clone wars and was a shell of a former Jedi.

Cal's dark side rampage is similar to Jin's Ghost Stance from Ghost of Tsushima. Just a crazy one-hit killing moves on these peons.

they’ve really done Cal justice this game. Far more in control and convincing he will follow through on threats to his enemies

4:09 it’s stupid because the rank on Cal’s uniform is way higher than the officer who thinks that he is a new recruit. He would never question someone two ranks above him like that
  • @lemao2222
"I'm not a threat" - Said Cal as he gives in to darkness and tears everything apart.

I love how when you come back to the base post game, you find force echoes of Imperial forces being terrified of Cal and his rampage.

Man! I love seeing the evolution of Cal in this game. They really fleshed out the character in this sequel. He's a total badass.

I really love how cals dark side powers don’t really come from hate or anger, but through confusion and panic, you can hear it when he screams after bode. This is the dark side when confusion and fear take over. He has two goals, reach bode, survive

If you go back to this base at the end of the game. Youll find denvik dead with his hands around his neck, implying he was forced chokes by a certain someone
  • @TheBlackoutstar
When you listen to the NPC's and realize that an random ISB Officer get such a legendary Voice Actor like Liam O'Brian....
  • Taking off the beard is one of the worst crimes of all, I’m calling Vader Edit: you thought I was gonna say something cringe like “mom I’m famous” didn’t you?
  • @thalmoragent9344
0:28 Lmao, a Jedi pulling out a blaster like that is one of the COLDEST things I've seen. That was quite the maneuver 😅

This game really did the Dark Side well. It's not cartoonish evil where you're just good or evil, it's something you slip into. The game presented you with something (really wanting to catch Bode for killing Cere), put human obstacles in your way. The Dark Side lets you tap into your anguish and anger and frustration and dispatch them quicker and more satisfyingly, for you to catch Bode.. but that's not the Jedi way for a reason. You can easily slip into that habit of just "making fights easier" and "showing my power better" and losing yourself. This is how people fall into the dark side. Imagine it not playing that eerie violin tone or showing that red-black haze. You might not even notice.
